BBC news really is the best Is there any way that it can be designed to d/l just the text and feature image then format like the nyt app does? Then add a setting to allow user to choose the number of articles to download in the current batch. That and a sharper icon and this is a front page app. Great work so far though.

20 seconds
The gold standard of news Fed up with the bias of the NY Times (a paper that is so insular that they can't even see their bias)? The BBC is the gold standard for world news and this great app will give you "all the news that's truly fit to send digitally". My second choice is the CS Monitor but they are ceasing daily publication in April.

Amazing App with Offline use Offline browsing, customization, and a slick slide show feature in the first release! There is livable bug where a site replaced in the main page, through settings, continues to show the "main slection" indicator. An additional (4th) main section and formatting of the BBC web content are my main enhancemenet suggestions.

Very slow in loading news, even on wireless Since it's so slow on a wireless connection, don't even bother using it on an edge network

Need to solve updating problem. I really like the idea of this app, and the clear and succinct interface. However I have to clear the cache everytime I want to get it to update. I have offline browsing disengaged so I'm not sure why it keeps doing this. Fix this and it's great.

So far, a little bit pointless This just takes you to their website, where you still have to zoom in, etc.
Other news readers have much better article presentation.
Also, gives incessant "slow network detected" errors every few seconds, even if the network is fast.
Even in case of a slow network, this should pop up only once, not every 5 seconds.

Good app, needs more personalization I'd like to be able to define which buttons appear at the bottom of the app - showing pics, history and info aren't interesting to me - I'd rather choose to promote buttons from the 'more' list like science or health...
Being able to read articles that are stored local to my device while I'm out of cell and/or wifi range is a great, must-have feature...

Not bad at all I have been pleasantly surprised by the app. I have been waiting for "The Beeb" to bring out such an app (like the NY Times) but they have not. This is pretty close to the NY Times app. I have not seen any performance issues (although don't use it in offline mode). I would have given this 5 stars but for me I want access to the Formula 1 news without scanning down cricket & football articles.

Choppy McChopperson... LOVE the content. Great filters built in for easy access of information.
HATE how unbelievably choppy scrolling is on this app. Come on folks, surely you can do better. It's borderline ridiculous. I'd live to give you a higher rating once this issue was addressed.
