Measure your golf drives using your iPhone!
Using the GPS built into your iPhone, BigHitter lets you measure how far you hit your drives, simply, quickly, and accurately.
To use BigHitter, touch the "Driver" icon before you tee off and then touch the "Ball" icon when you get to you ball. BigHitter will display the distance and even keep track of your best drive and average drive. The accuracy is conveniently displayed at the top of the screen to help get the best measurements.
NOTE: Requires iPhone 3G, 3GS, or 4
Important Tips:
*It may take some time to obtain the initial location, so please turn it on as soon as you get to the tee.
* Default distances are in yards for US, Canada, Mexico, and UK otherwise units are in meters. Use the meters/yards switch at the bottom to manually configure.

Does not work in the best conditions Stood in an open field in sunny California where Google maps was giving pinpoint accuracy. Pressed Tee location button, walked 75 yards to my ball as measured by a Garmin GPS. Pressed Ball location button, result 0 then another press yielded 5 yards. I am very disappointed.

BigHitter Doesn't work at present. Don't buy until the announced update appears and is tested by us who already bought it. This app could be great if it ever works correctly.

doesn't work 3 out of 5 bars on the "location acuracy" meter and when I hit the buttoin it tells me I went 27 yards when it clearly is over 200. Most times it just says 000. Does Not WORK!!

Step Off the Yardage I thought I was not standing still enough but even after selecting "tee" button and placing iPhone on the ground the app could not find itself even after ten minutes. That would make a very long game and very few who would want to wait for you to tee off. Of course, you could go into a Villegas-like warm up. I really hope the developer stays with this because it could be a winner.

Does Not Work! The interface is simple enough to use, but the app just does not work. Wait for GPS accuracy to increase (I used 3 out of 5 bar). Press tee box button. Drive the ball. Walk about 220 yards. Press the ball button. It asks to measure again, but doesn't give you a way to say yes or no. Instead, it tells me I drove the ball 1 yard. Hopefully we'll see an update to make this app work right. I had high hopes since the interface is nice and simple.I tried it several times and gave up. This needs to work solid every time. You can't be holding up players behind you while you're fussing around with an app that doesn't work right.

Great app, must have 4 golfers! This is a simple, easy to use app. Very handy on the golf course. Does exactly what it says, never crashes. I'm an experienced golfer but still need help with distance sometimes and club selection. Big Hitter is perfect. It lets me keep track of my shots.
GPS accuracy meter at top is a nice touch.
Don't forget to turn off GPS auto lock.
You won't be disappointed with this app. Worth the small price.
