Friend Mapper will change the way you connect with your friends!
Friend Mapper displays your position plus up to 23 friends' positions SIMULTANEOUSLY! LIVE! That's up to 24 people on the map at the same time!
These positions update approximately every 15 seconds (or less frequently if you so choose) so each linked friend appears to be moving on the map.
Best of all, your friends can view your moving position from their iPhones or from www.amigomapper.com!
FEATURES:
✔ Friend Mapper displays your LIVE (moving!) position. ✔ Link to other friends running Friend Mapper on their iPhones and WATCH them move. ✔ Hide your position at any time. ✔ Time SINCE last update is noted next to each friend ✔ Use one-touch dialing or one-touch texting with any linked friend (iPhone only). Just touch the friend's name in the list under the map, and the "CALL" and "TEXT" buttons will appear (as long as you have provided a phone number for that person).
PLEASE NOTE: You and your friends must be RUNNING Friend Mapper to post location updates. The timestamp next to your friend's name beneath the map shows the last time he/she ran Friend Mapper. While running the app, you should see location updates approximately every 15 seconds. Also, if your friend has not received a link request, check for typos in the email address. If you're having any problems, please contact support@winkpass.com. When used correctly, Friend Mapper is AMAZING!

The Perfect 3G iPhone App! What a great app! And another great reason for everyone to get an iPhone! This app remembers and displays everybody's location from whenever they last ran the app and shows how old that reading is, so the only time you really need to run this app is when you want to update your own location. The fastest refresh rate (7 seconds) shows almost continuous movement on everybody's screens, but the slowest refresh rate (52 seconds) works very well too. And you can text and phone everybody just by touching a button on their maps. Good stuff!

Kind of a pain The initial map takes forever to load. And the initial location of my phone is always about 1 mile off. Hopefully future updates will correct these issues.

Good but could be better This is a good app but could be better if it could update automatically, maybe giving you the option on how often so u can save battery life. It also kicks you out whn use the text option wich is very inconvinient. Also if could give u directions to your amigos directions, it would be nice. If these things got done I wouldn't mind paying a lot more for this app, cuz not only would it be a great tracker but be very helpful if my phone was ever lost or stolen. Please make these things happen!

Need friends with an Iphone Seems like it'll work good, but I don't have any iPhone friends. At least Loopt allows you to have friends on other phones, but I don't have any compatible friends on Loopt either.
Would be nice to be able to add friends from the contact list rather than having to write down phone numbers and email addresses. Also, would like a automatic login option. - Friend Mapper review by Cisco96
This is by FAR the BEST tracking application for the iPhone. I have utlized every other tracking application out there and this is by far the best! The Amigo's have really accomplished what it takes to make a great app like this...attention to detail. Every app lives and breathes through attention to detail and those with a tombstone threw their hands up and said "I hope it works." Great job guys! I'd pay an easy $5 for this app but yet it's free! plenty of positives for this app I have been using this app for nearly 2 weeks now, and I have to say that I love it. My husband and I map each other when we are driving home from work. I am surprised by the negative remarks some people have left considering this is a FREE app and that it is the first release. I emailed a question to the developers and heard back from them the same day. I say let's recognize the positive aspects of the apps too so that developers aren't discouraged from providing us with the results of their hard work. So, for the positives: pretty interface, maps load slowly at times, but no slower than the other navigation apps I've tried, easy and intuitive to use. App worthless @ this point- can't register to launch it! I've tried since 4am (it's now 4:11pm) to get this App to register on my iphone but it won't. I got it to register on my husbands iphone- however it's useless without both phones having the App considering we are the only ones we know who have iphones. Polished app has promise You don't really need a friend with an iPhone to use this, since there is a web based map for tracking people, but the app only shines in an iPhone to iPhone exchange.
