Seattle Bus Map shows you live up-to-the-minute locations of any and all Seattle, Washington busses - laid out on an interactive street map. Ever wonder where the bus really is? Ever wonder where you are? Do you want to expand your knowledge of Seattle bus routes? Or have you ever frozen your fingers off waiting for the 43 to show up?
Never again. Now you can look at a map and see exactly where the bus is. You can see that the 43 is still 20 mins away and go get yourself some hot chocolate. (No matter what time of day, the 43 is always 20 mins away.)
SEA Bus Map features: * Live views of any bus and its route (up to 10 route numbers) * Arrival times at key bus stops (zoom in to one of the diamonds to see bus arrival times) * Your local GPS location * Three color modes (to match your mood)
SEA Bus Map requires an internet connection in order to display busses and routes. If you have an iPod touch, you will only get updates when you're connected to a Wi-Fi network. iPhone users will have no troubles.

An awesome update!   I had almost given up on Seattle Bus Map. v1 was a neat idea, but with a fairly klunky realization. One Bus Away has become my default bus viewer.
v2, however, allows Seattle Bus Map to make a serious challenege for the throne. Load time is greatly improved, the map is terrific (thank you for the street names!) and accuracy is much better. The developer really took to heart user suggestions, giving me the impression that whatever foibles the app may still have (klunky map pinning, occasionally not receiving data from Metro, a really strange use of perspective map viewing) will be ironed out in future versions. I will admit that when I am pressed for time, One Bus Away is my first grab, but Seattle Bus Map is still an invaluable addition to my collection. Well worth the cost, especially if the developer is able to keep making improvements with the quality of this version in the future. Well done!

Wow.... Hooked.. Love it   Had this for 2 weeks, and can't turn it off, EVEN after getting on the Bus.. Initially you WILL spend ALL your time trying to compare Bus positions on the app vs on the road. The best part is watching a bus on the GPS and then staring out the window to see when it crosses you. I would say its always accurate within a range of 10-90 seconds.I agree with Seattle Dude, I have noticed the bus locations being off by a couple of blocks, but the app is only as good as the GPS on the buses and Iphone. The Iphone GPS isn't the greatest, and I can't imagine the Bus GPS being the any better. If you follow a bus carefully, you can see it adjust its location when a GPS signal is received. It looks like Buses send their GPS location only every few minutes..It should come with a warning -real world might differ from the virtual representation of available data. Please remember to choose what you see as the more accurate version !! Within range of my vision.. My eyes are better than the GPS's involved !I need to get used to the fact that if a Route isn't shown its not because the Bus Doesnt EXIST, it means the bus lacks a GPS or is not transmitting.. , and that if a Bus is in front of me, but the app shows it a further away.. Its because thats where the BUS's GPS reported it as being! I do want street names, automatic following of a selected bus, save a location on the Map to quickly move to the location and see the next Bus arrivals, toggle a spot on the map and see all bus routes passing through the area, and a million bucks. After spending hours carefully tracking my bus, I have concluded that the bus location estimation is pretty good. Bus Snobs comment on Not reliable .. really should be not reliable to track within accuracy of below 100 feet and 100 Seconds. Far better than relying on the Bus Schedule !!!! I think the price is right, its a real application, with live data, and actual functionality.. it deserves to be more expensive than static flash games. I am sure the time and effort creating and maintaining such a app is far higher than most other apps.Just FYI- Their Support team really responds to emails. They actually got me more interested in the app. - Seattle Bus Map review by RM80
Amazing   This app. is great! I was on my to work on a normal day, but my bus was running a little late. When it showed up it was packed, so I checked my iphone and noticed that another one was due to show up in 1 minute. So I decided to be patient for once and wait.About one minute and three seconds later I was rewarded with a bus with only two other people on it. This app. might be a little pricey, but to actually have all the busses on a particular route displayed in real time, and their ETA I think it's worth it.Steve - Seattle Bus Map review by Frank the great
Worth the $$   Being able to see the buses location moving along the map in real-time is pretty cool. And the real-time arrival times is much better than simply seeing a list of ETA's and having to constantly refresh. I've now bought all 3 Seattle Bus applications, and this is definitely the best. It has been functionally flawless in my brief experience using it. Jake - Seattle Bus Map review by PokerHack
Functional and Beautiful   This app is worth $10 for sure. It's very functional but yet looks beautiful too. If you use the bus on a regular basis, this is a must. Much better than the other Seattle bus navigation apps. - Seattle Bus Map review by Seattlite
Worth every penny.   This app is excellent but could be better: street names etc. I can't complain though. What is done here is pretty difficult to code so it's worth 10 dollars. Other apps guess where a bus SHOULD be. This one tells you where they are. - Seattle Bus Map review by jobbed
Pretty Sweet App but...   The apps ability to track buses in real time is awsome. Seems to be pretty accurate. The only thing preventing a five star review is the mapping. It would be nice if the map used google maps and street names were shown. It is a bit difficult to recognize stops unless you remember where on the map the stop is. It would also be cool if the app could save favorite stops then zoom into them like in the iPhones google maps app. This app is worth 10 bucks if you commute on the bus. - Seattle Bus Map review by MagicDrPhil
Solid application, easy to use interface   This app is great and has saved me from being late to work on several occasions! - Seattle Bus Map review by Andrias123
Very Pleased   I've been using SEA Bus for almost a week now and I'm very pleased with my purchase. This app does exactly what it says it does; it tells me when the next bus will be at my stop(+/- 30 seconds). Yes, the bus will occasionally be a couple of blocks off of where the app says it is, but I would think that is to be expected with any GPS device. Even the 'Current Location' feature in the iPhone's standard Map Application is off by more than that at times! It definitely exceeded my expectations, and hopefully it gets even better in their future updates. - Seattle Bus Map review by JWP50
Pretty good, but needs the whole Seattle area   I thought the function of this program was great. However, for those of us just outside Seattle and those of us who like to visit friends in the suburbs, we direly need a program that includes both King County Transit and Snohomish County Community Transit. There are several programs that cover King County-- please add Snohomish County, too! - Seattle Bus Map review by Frojavigdis
Not perfect, but very useful! 4.5   Only a few problems I noticed in the past week of use. It’s a bit slow to load the routes, you can’t pick the route colors (yet) and the map isn’t as nice as it could be (3 color modes? Just give me a normal map). In addition some of the routes aren’t quite accurate; close but a little off. However, in this past snow storm in Seattle (Dec’08) this program was invaluable! It was my first time using the Metro (to get to a new job no less); the buses were messed up (maybe 1 in 10 running); but this handy program showed them! This was trial by fire, and it passed. It’s now my new favorite program to help getting around in the city. It's easy to read and use; just plug in the routes you use the most (or are expecting to use) along with a couple alternates and you are set for your trip. In short, it’s well worth the $10 if you use the metro frequently. Maybe worth it more if you don’t or are a first time user like I was. The few problems are small, and even with the route glitches (possibly due to the snow, alternate routes, some busses not even numbered!) it was invaluable. - Seattle Bus Map review by Kunkoh
Wow...love it!   Makes waiting for the bus so much better. 'Waiting for a bus is about as thrilling as fishing, with the similar tantalization that something, somehow will turn up.' -George Courtauld. Not any more, with this app! Great display shows all the essential info, showing more info as you zoom in close. Mesmerizing to watch as you see buses approaching digitally, then in real life. Not too hard to find a familiar location despite the lack of street names. Next update will show direction buses are moving which will be a big improvement. - Seattle Bus Map review by seatactom
Great idea. Presentation could be better   I really like the idea of this product. Its very useful and the app works. There are some shortcomings though. The map is hard to see. I don't like the fact that its dimmed, there are no street names, etc. Knowing where you are can be a challenge. This would be a killer app if it used Google Maps. Also, the map doesn't center on your current location. You have to scroll around to find it. All in all its a nice piece of programming that could use a refreshed UI - Seattle Bus Map review by HEMSEATTLE
Great Concept, but not reliable   I only offer these critiques for the hope of an update to correct them. First, not every Seattle bus has a GPS as I quickly discovered ( route 48 ). While waiting for the 73, it showed the bus moving about 5 blocks past me even though it was two blocks behind me stopped at the previous stop. Once on the bus, my GPS target stayed stationary and the bus was still shown many blocks ahead of where I actually was. Also, my GPS signal is always like a block or two to the west of where I actually am. So, a good reference tool but nothing you should rely on. I trust Krueger will smooth these kinks out in a future update. - Seattle Bus Map review by Bus Snob
$5 app   Needs major road names, times of non gps buses to be worth $10...but otherwise is pretty slick. - Seattle Bus Map review by Bus me
