Mobile & Desktop Sync Beautifully!   I am thrilled with the ability to sync to the desktop and it works beautifully! Charging for the desktop version is not unusual and you can't expect the vendor to include the desktop version with the .99 app version! I gradauted from a Treo to the Iphone a number of months back, but my password program couldn't come along. During one lunch hour, I was able to input 75+ records into the desktop version of Keeper and sync it over to my iPhone within seconds. There is no way that I would have been able to do the inputting nearly so quickly on my iPhone. It is well worth the $15.00 to buy the destop version!

Simple, usefull, functional   I was looking for a simple apps to safeguard some of my data. Keeper does it efficiently and with no complication. On my wish list for next version would be the ability: -to reorganize the entry to one own liking -add folders and subfoldersOverall an excellent app that I would highly recommend.

Great app!   Nice app to have. Secure and safe. Just need to be responsible and close out of it when you are done.
Also, would be nice to have more "secret" sections, or at least give the option to add more.

Best app on my iPhone!   Keeper is a great app! I feel safe having my important info (like credit cards, SSN's, and passwords) on there.
My daughter got a hold of my iPhone and accidentally self destructed my keeper. I had to call into support for help restoring the data and I found the support personnel to be very helpful and knowledgable in their response. They made me aware that syncing is not "backing up" and from now on i make regular backups.

Restoring data, Self Destruct and Security Notes -- PLEASE READ   Hi, since Apple does not allow developers to respond to questions that are posted on reviews, let me do that here...- All security and encryption related concerns have been addressed in full and the app has been reviewed by independent security experts to verify the highest level of quality. 128-bit AES and SHA-1 encryption is in use.- If your Keeper app self destructs, or if you need to restore your data PLEASE MAKE SURE to first turn OFF automatic sync before you plug in your device on iTunes. The reason is that this will back up the BAD data, and your restore won't go as planned. If you did not read this post in time, there is still hope. Just write us and we'll send you a special program which will extract the data from your PC or Mac from previous backups. - If you follow the FAQ instructions, you'll see how to use the FTP features to import and export data with your PC for free- The Desktop version of Keeper will be out very soon, and this will allow you to sync seamlessly with your PC or Mac without using iTunes!- If you have a question or concerns, don't post it here. If you are having technical challenges with import/export don't post a review, instead send an email to the developer.

Great application!   Everything I was looking for to keep my secure data in the iPhone. The only thing I would like to see is: if you have a URL in the notes section, when you click on it if the link will open on safari.
Other than that, if you follow the FAQ's you should have no problems importing and exporting. Thanks for the free copy!

Update killed it   Seemed like a good idea; I put in a few test entries and waited to see how well it retained them. Then an update came along, and guess what? Now I'm locked out. Not a good idea at all, it turns out. I won't trust it again.

Good application - Great Support   The app does what it says. Also, the developer is very responsive to input and questions via e-mail - taking the time to engage customers, which has a way of earning customer loyalty – especially in these days of impersonal corporate conglomerates!Since I'm on a PC running Windows XP (like many of you) and not a Mac, I can't use the Mac-only Desktop version to sync my data, and was concerned about losing my data should my iPof Touch crash. Craig (the developer) confirmed for me that iTunes is all you need to back up your Keeper data from your iPod Touch/iPhone to your PC. Here's his explaination:"To force a backup, right click your iPhone/iPod under "Devices" within iTunes and select "Back Up". If you ever need to restore your data, simply perform a restore in iTunes. I have tested this and it works as expected. Please make sure you have the latest version of iTunes and also upgrade to 2.1 firmware on your iPhone if you haven't already."That beats 1Password, which is not currently backing up data without your purchasing their hefty Mac-only Desktop version (something we PC owners can't do). Great job, Craig, and thanks for the great customer service!(Sidenote: Want another product with a responsive developer? Check out "iScale" - a program for tracking your weight and what you eat each day. It works great and Derrek, the guy who developed it, has a strong online community that has developed around the product. He's like Craig - very responsive - and continues to include new features that are requested by customers. Check it out!) - Keeper® Password & Data Vault review by Doc iPod
Lost all data   I spent 45 minutes entering all my passwords into this program. When I needed it it wouldn't open then a day later everything was gone and it was back to square one. This is my first negative review on a program. - Keeper® Password & Data Vault review by Isurus22
Finally, a Viable Security App!!   Finally, there is an app that stores private information locally and NOT on a website. Author responded quickly to my query on this, and he is developing a desktop sync program (non website) which will be included in an upcoming update. The information is stored just like your contacts and bookmarks, so if your iPhone bricks and you have to do a full restore, info is not lost. This is how I can support individual developers. Thanks, Craig, for this terrific program and for your quick replies, and for not gouging us with an expensive website storage system. - Keeper® Password & Data Vault review by Ah Swipe
Starts well, but within a week, I lost all my info   The app started great. But once I tried to install the update, several things happened. First, the update would not install via a normal connection. It kept saying that I needed to be connected to my laptop. Then, once I did connect to my laptop, the application refused to get updated. Then it acted quite strange. First it disappeared completely, and then reappeared. As of an hour ago, it went away again, and now that I have reinstalled it, my data is completely lost! I've lost atleast 2 hours worth of work. What a waste of time. - Keeper® Password & Data Vault review by Nofun__
It's not encrypted   I found the raw data (not encrypted) files in Application directory. I can access that by some free tool. As you know that kind of tools are popular. I think this feature is unsafe more than unencrypted FTP. I want to keep to use the keeper. I hope to be fixed this ASAP. - Keeper® Password & Data Vault review by myho
Just what I needed!   This is a great application for keeping track of the hundreds of scraps of information, especially numbers, that you have to remember on a daily basis! - Keeper® Password & Data Vault review by LaytonW
Responses to a few posts   Hi, since Apple does not allow developers to respond to questions that are posted on reviews, let me do that here...1. All known bugs reported by users have been fixed as of version 2.1.2. All security and encryption related concerns have been addressed in full and the app has been reviewed by independent security experts to verify the highest level of quality. 128-bit AES and SHA-1 encryption is in use.3. The developer as done everything possible to instruct users on how to prevent data loss through the use of backups and FTP transfer. There is no reason anyone should lose data. Please perform regular backups of your iPhone! And note that iTunes does not always perform a backup when you do a sync, so you must instruct iTunes to perform a backup explicitly.4. If you have a question or concerns, don't post it here. If you are having technical challenges with import/export don't post a review, instead send an email to the developer. - Keeper® Password & Data Vault review by simpliway
Security Problem - FIXED!   I initially gave Keeper a 1 star rating because it did not close when the iPhone went into autolock. Anyone who unlocked the iPhone by sliding the control across had access to all your IDs and Passwords. Now I can happily give a 5 star rating because Craig updated Keeper to shut down when the iPhone goes into autolock. When someone unlocks the iPhone, Keeper opens again, but now it opens with the login screen. Now the data is safe. I like Keeper on the iPhone as much as I liked Password Keeper on my RIM Blackberry. It will become my most used app!!Great job Craig, and thanks for listening! - Keeper® Password & Data Vault review by starguy99
Simple and perfect   I needed a simple app to store the bizillion website passwords and some other logins that I have. All of the other password apps are far too complex. This one is great. Enter in your master key and there are the logins. No need to navigate to multiple screens to get the info you need. Excellent! - Keeper® Password & Data Vault review by NoteTaker1000
Great Tool & Support   After loosing all of my information twice with 1password and yes it may have been free. I now have everything backed up on itunes with "keeper" for $.99. Great support too!! - Keeper® Password & Data Vault review by Carsonite
