---------------------- There are many chalk board/white board applications for hand-writing notes released in App Store using iPhone's touch panel technology.
However, when using them it is soon obvious that most of those applications are not suitable for writing full sentences. With those applications, you need to write very carefully and with very small letters which usually is not practical.
TANZAKU is different.
This application provides an ingenious writing pad with seperate upper and lower screen portions. Simply write a few words in the upper portion, add more words in the lower portion and the application then combines the written words to build a document.
This is an invaluable tool when you are limited to taking quick notes.
* In this application, saving capability is disabled. Export to the photo library before closing the application so that you can keep the notes you write.

great idea but still buggy i love the idea of this app, and it does make free-hand writing easier. the program feels like the author put a lot of thought into it, and there are many unexpected great features that i really appreciate. however, a major flaw is that any notes/folders i make are deleted once i exit the program - kinda defeats the purpose of a notes app. please update with a fix b/ otherwise, this is a great free app that i would like to use. also, the drawing part is awesome and just what i'm looking for in a quick doodle app - can you also provide just this portion as a standalone app?

Good Start but how about a limited save I am more than willing to acquire the paid version of this program but wanted to test drive the free app. While trying it out the saving and folder functions are not available. This is an important consideration and without being able to try this part of the program out I'm not going to consider the full version. Please consider giving us limited saving capabilities.

Not great I'm really looking for a handwriting app and this one is awkward. First, I know I can't save on the free version and that's not a problem nor a consideration for this review.
I don't like, nor do I understand, the need to split the screen into three separate screens. It just does not leave enough room for a human finger to write. Maybe I'm not doing it exactly as designed (and more explicit instructions are needed), but the only way I can get a full page to write on is if I switch to the graph paper-style mode as an addition to a file that has been started.
Anyway, I'd pay for the full version if it was a more user-friendly app. Needs work.

Good I'd give it that LAST star if it only could save. Like i spent a whole twenty minutes writing stuff, then went to check my email, came back to the app, only to see it gone!!!!!!! That bugged me. A limited save would be a good idea, so its not exactly like the priced, full one, but it will get people's good reviews; so basically they will feel motivated to buy the real one. And i agree... This is only a demo

Great app!!! Yeah .. i love it because i can customize with my handwriting hehehe. One thing bugged me that I cant save .. i left the app and came back .. everything was lost - i thought it was bug until I read someone review. Anyway .. I am happy with it .. at least I can send to photo which is good too!!!

Best handwring interface...but confused about the paid version?!?! I LOVE this interface. I can write how I actually write, and I don't have to click a button at the end of each line (like with FastFinga), or estimate my handwriting speed, or whatever. Just write as if I'm jotting a note on a relatively narrow notepad.
I want to upgrade, but I don't get it: the screenshots make it look like it'll be a very different interface?!? And the catalystwo website doesn't even mention this program? I'm worried that I'll buy it and then it won't even be supported in the future. Because in future, being able to email notes would be a great enhancement, but not something I care about a whole lot right now--these are just notes to myself.
