Would have been a fivestar review I would have given this app a five star review but in order to keep it working on my phone I have to delete it then reinstall it. Not very happy with that. However when it is working it does give an almost accurate pricing on most of the services stations here in the Hampton Roads area.

Works for SF Bay Area I live in SF Bay Area and the application works pretty well for me. Around 80% of stations show up in East and South Bay so far. Street addresses and locations seem correct as well. Gas prices are really up to users like you and me. If we don't use it and update, it's not going to be accurate. I tried the "Where" application but the interface here is much better. The integration with Google Map and GPS is also superb.
I can understand all the bad reviews if the stations don't show up for you. But if you have not tried it, give it a shot. Maybe it works for your area.
I am giving it 4 stars for now as it does what it claims to do for me but obviously have room for improvement. Looking forward to an update. The ability to only show the gas brands you use would be nice. - GasBag review by mystara

Great Idea, Needs some features It would be nice to be able to add gas station in my area. The zoom is slow and does not work as well as google maps. It gives an option to "Find gas near" but offers no clue as to what input it wants. I entered a city name and it showed a map from Florida. I am in Texas. It would be nice if it offered the ability to search a selectable distance from the current location using the GPS or enter the City & State or ZIP and search from that central point. A distance of up to 50 miles would be nice for travelling. I know in the DFW area that is a common commute distance. - Keep working on it. - GasBag review by Diveboss

Works Great! Easy to use. Shows 90% of the gas stations in my area. And there always seems to be a gas station 'around the corner' that's significantly cheaper than on my usual routes. Saves me money and i paid nothing for the app! Can't beat that. - GasBag review by -Dreamin-
Rocky start, but getting much better When I first tried this app, the user base hadn't reached critical mass yet, so very few stations had prices. I also had a lot of trouble trying to submit updates.
It seems to be working much better now. It seems there are enough users to provide enough updates to make the system relevant. I love how it highlights the lowest price in my area automatically. The only major remaining problem is that the map responds very slugishly to pan and zoom commands.
Aside from the map response time there are a few sugestions that I have for the next update:
1. Split the cents wheel into two digits so that is easier to input a price
2. I can't find a button to add a new station to the map
3. Consider adding the ability to find the cheapest gas along a route. I.e. What is the cheapest gas between S.F. & Tahoe? - GasBag review by dancesonsnow

A necessity on the iPhone... With today's gas prices, I'm truly SHOCKED no one has released an app like this. I've noticed that the more I use it, the more gas stations show up on the map and it's a genius idea to include the community. With user input updating the gas station database, I can definitely see this app becoming an incredibly comprehensive app.And the PRICE is most definitely right. =) - GasBag review by pauljima

Best app for finding gas prices! By far the best app i have used for finding gas prices and it's super easy to use. Their needs to be more users so that all of the stations have prices. Didn't Work at all for me This app didn't find a single gas station between my house and my job where there are probably 15-20 gas stations. It found me on the map no problem, but no gas stations. dangerous this app sent me to non-existant gas stations. made me think about what would happen if I was travelling in an unfamiliar area and got off the main road looking for gas advertised by this app, only to find myself stranded.also, the non-existant stations had the lowest pricing and major brand logos.I couldn't update pricing, remove or correct false locations, or add real stations in my area. Downloaded and deleted The locations of the gas stations appear to default to the end of each street. Of the 3 stations closest to me, the location of one was accurate (it's at the end of a street), and the other two were both a mile off. Along a road that has 7 gas stations within a mile of each other, it showed zero. The pricing was weeks old, too.The interface is nice and fine. great map functionality, terrible database I used both gasbag and igas updated version, and i have to say, gasbag is way sweeter than igas in sense of integration with map. in igas, the map function is slow and inside the application itself, unable to give relative distance from your current location (because you can't see you current location in the built-in map of igas). GasBag, on the other hand, shows everything. which is just sweet~ and it would link to the map app. which is faster, and can show where you are.terrible database, I have to double check with igas. - GasBag review by anonymous^
