Over that is wrapped an attractive, simple and yet comprehensive single-screen interface. It keeps going even in device lock mode, making it a useful aid for live drumming.

Excellent   Worth every cent, really well thought out and executed. I recommended this app to a lot of musicians. One suggestion I have would be to increase the fastest tempo from quarter note = 220. Visual Metronome which is also very good, has quarter note = 250 as the fastest tempo. I know you can subdivide to get whatever tempo you need by using the grouping settings but it would be nice to be able to get a basic pulse faster than 220.

Wow.   I am thoroughly pleased with this app. It is the most useful dollar I have ever spent. The met keeps great time, and the addition of the more complex time signatures has made it very useful for my practice. Thanks to the developer for making a metronome app worth buying.

Easiest and most flexible interface ever.   Wife and I gig a lot, and practice with metronome is part of our routine. We have 3 electronic and one mechanical metronome, and this app will suplant them all. Very, very good app. Excellent design.

Watch out Dr. Beat, here comes tempo!   I am a percussion instructor in the midwest. I am enjoying your product and have turned my colleagues on to it. If you incorporate the following features, I will be able to sell more to others.1. Add a 1/4 time signature. There are often times that I need a steady pulse, with or without subdivisions, when practicing etudes or songs with shifting time signatures. If the ability to program shifting time signatures, according to the piece, existed, it would lessen the need for for the 1/4 meter addition, but would take time program, heavily impeding the capability of "on the fly use."2. Allow count one, remaining downbeats, and subdivisions to be monotone, or the ability to play subdivisions without an accent or down beat (as an option). When playing a piece where the eighth note remains constant, for example 4/4 to 6/8 and back, a player can focus on the duple to triple with out the beat turning around. In addition, a player could in theory exceed the 220 bpm by listening to the triplet subdivision, with out a down beat, as a straight quarter note or eighth note pulse, effectively creating an extremely fast tempo. This may not be the correct venue to submit these ideas, but I know they are great for additions for your product. You are offering a great product, please continue support and development. The fact is, your product is marketed at a better than appropriate price, and can stand alone without these suggestions. If you need clarity regarding my ideas, please do not hesitate me via email. Thanks

You To Decide
Great app   First, let me comment on some reviews of others on the matter of the accents. YOU CAN ELIMINATE THEM. When the metronome isn't activated, you'll see the little dots at the top and one or more may be a different shade. Those are the ones that accent. Just tap on one and it will change color and the accent will not happen there. Or tap on the unaccented dots to make them accent. If I understand the desire for 1/4 time (some specifically said they wanted it to get rid of the accents), this solves that problem as well. Hope that helps some folks.I got these details of how it works by going to his website. Users might want to check it out to make sure you aren't missing some capabilities.I got this last week and really liked it - especially the tap tempo - very handy when listening to a piece of music and wanting to know the speed. That version made it better than typical metronomes I've bought and paid much more for. But I did find two issues with the tapping. One was that, when first used, the initial couple taps would register way slower than the actual tempo. The other was that the tempo seemed to vary too much as I tapped, even though I was tapping along with another metronome.I relayed these issues to the author and got a response the next day. He had fixed both and sent it into the app store (which was just released). Looks like both problems are solved. Can't beat the service!Strongly recommended - and contact the author if you have other ideas. He is considering some other suggestions I made for a future update.

Excellent for Golfers   Unfortunately, I have zero musical talent. However, I am a very good golfer with a 3.1 handicap. A metronome is a very good practice aid for both putting and full swings. This app does everything a golfer needs. It is very easy to use and with your headphones you can wear it while practicing and not disturb anyone else. In fact, all you folks would have to do is change the interface a little bit and sell the same basic app as "Golf Tempo."

Better than my Dr Beat!   This works very well, keeps time accurately even when the phone is locked, looks slick, and even gives me the ability to play the metronome and the tuning note at the same time. My Dr. beat can't even do that.
My only suggestion would be to expand the tuning note ranges. I'm a double bass player and I prefer lower notes while I play scales.
Best metronome app and for only 99 cents!

Amazing   This is THE met you've been saving up for!! Put away that $80-$150 for a dr beat and drop a few coins (literally) on this. As a percussionist & an instructor this blows the rest away. Apple, please delete the other metronome apps as they seem to be junk and this one Is the alpha/omega of mets. Thanks for a great product.

AMAAAZZAINNGGGG!!!~!   I've been looking for an app like this for a LONG time. For a while I had iTick, but it just didn't get the job done. This app is nearly perfect. With many different time signatures, different tempos, and especially the triplet, 8th note, 16th note and first/last note options are extremely useful. Easily the most dynamic and versatile metronome app to date. As stated before, just add a straight beat (1/4 or whatever) for those crazy pieces with changing signatures (6/8 to 7/8 etc.) and this app will be perfect. I also love how the rocker volume thing changes this volume, and how the system volume IS the volume of the app. Very loud beeping etc., not to mention the visual. Maybe making the visual a little more obvious and clear would be good, but its not like I'll be looking at it while I play anyways (I play Marimba) Wonderful app that I will use forever!

Perfect!   Edit - figured out how to turn off the accent. Just tap the red dot that is lit. The light goes off and the accent goes away!
Great app but I need to get rid of the bloody accent. I know where the 1 is. I like to practice with rotating time signatures and the accent gets in the way

Fantastic interface, and accurate.   This is the kind of app you just want to open up and play with because of its beautiful interface. It's incredibly simple to use and accurate, too. And, contrary to what some reviewers have stated, it does have 5/4, 7/4 and other complex meters. All you need to do is tap and hold the meter selection area to bring up all the options. You can also disable the click on the first beat of the bar by touching the indicator light, and apply it to any of the other beats in the bar just by touching them.

Cheapest & Best   This is amazing. I have recently started learning guitar. My instructor asked me to go for one such device. But, I found that to be around $15 in the Guitar Center. But, this one is a dollar and works great for me. I don't have a sound music background. So, can someone answer this? The description of this app describes more about Drums. Can this be used with electric guitars as well.
Thanks.

Best Metronome So Far   Most of the metronomes on the App Store only have 4/4 time and 3/4 time. And they can't even keep a steady beat. This metronome has a lot of time signatures, you can change the accents, and it even has a tuner! All for just 99 cents! This app is great!

Developers, what a perfect app. Thank U   I cannot believe some of u people can give an app like this any less than 5 stars, and stain the image of the app, just cuz there's a tiny little detail u think it can be improved on. Apps as great as this should contain nothing less than 5 stars cuz it's the least we can do for the developers that provide such thinking and planning for a price that is unbeatable in any store that u look for a metronome! U people that do give less than 5 stars are super ungrateful. This is by far the best metronome available. By far.

Wow   For $1, I am completly blown away. This app has many more functions than most metronome apps (which happen to cost more). Everything from its integrity to its icon is astounding. My only suggestion is to be able to have the beat of a 32nd note. Well done!
