Another useless gimicky "music" app.   Wish I could have a refund. After all the rave reviews I decided to give this a try. Turns out to be useless and boring after the first minute. There's nothing groundbreaking here. Samples are triggered according to the x position of your tap, then looped in a fixed tempo. Probably some randomization of the initial x value to "evolve" the sound. Seriously, nothing amazing concept-wise or programming wise. You can't effectively control what notes you're playing, so all it does is create random "musical" pieces.

Very unique. Worth the money.   Great app, I'm happy to see a usable instrument. I have some requests:Some sort of tempo indication so you can place notes more easily. Now it's a bit difficult to count the 'measure' until it's too late. Ability to move, change velocity, and delete specific notes. More tones and the ability to combine them. Ability to export as midi or aiff. I suppose line out would work. Ability to save and layer compositions. Ability to play nonrepeated notes over a frozen pattern. Please don't think these limitations are a reason not to purchase this app. I have over a hundred apps and this is a new favorite. Very relaxing, beautiful and easy to use. Highly recommended! 5 stars. - Bloom review by erroneusnickname
Crackling Sounds   I love this app. Sound was perfect the first time playing with it but now there's crackling static sound. All my audio (music, etc) sounds fine,...there's definitely some audio problems with this app - Bloom review by Andrew_G
Almost there but not yet...   Would be a great app if they fix the crackling in the 2G touch. It makes it really hard to be relaxed when the crackling is so loud!!! - Bloom review by Bucks27
Pretentious Nonsense   This is not a music application. It's not even interesting. It's the application equivalent of filling up a bunch of wine glasses with water and hitting them with a knife. Interesting for about 45 seconds - add another minute of interest if you make the water in the glasses different colors and you like pretty colors. Ooohhh it must be great because Brian Eno helped - guess what - his last interesting work since his Roxy Music days was with the Talking Heads and U2 almost 20 years ago. He phoned this one in, folks. For anyone who is on the fence about this application, let me give you an example of what you will get for your money - ready - touch iPhone - "ting"; touch it several more times - "ting, ting, tiiing, ting, tiing tiing tiiing - wait about 30 seconds and then the tinging will stop. Repeat ad nauseum = dull. - Bloom review by ljmjag
AMAZING! One of the most unique iPhone music apps available.   The concept is simple. You're presented with a subtle drone. You tap on areas of the screen to create sounds and make loops. You can tap different areas to create layers. The end result is a beautiful and somewhat relaxing. The presentation is also amazing with all the unique colors and shapes. You can clearly tell Brian Eno had a part in this. If you're a fan of ambient music or just enjoy making fun making sounds on your iPhone, this app is for you. I can't recommend it highly enough! - Bloom review by zackarooey
Most unique music app yet   Very cool, fun, creative and relaxing. If you dig Eno you'll love this. It's like an audio/visual psychedelic Valium....and just as addictive. - Bloom review by peter doubt
Great app but unusable on the itouch 2G   This is an awesome application but is not usable at all with the state of the audio on the itouch 2G. There is a constant crackle (that other users have already reported) that makes the output seriously annoying to listen to. This bug ruins the application for the user. That's me. I'm the user in this situation. And I am ruined. - Bloom review by bgconnolly
Genuinely Overrated   Basically a very simple music loop program with iphone as piano/keyboard input. Just because briano eno graced this program with his otherwise brilliant name doesn't make it any good. - Bloom review by Hippdip123
Hoping for an update   Love the concept of this app however the audio output is not good on the touch. Docked or with headphones
Crackling sound is constant. - Bloom review by ParadiseAce
Worthless   I've personally spent years making generative music as well as music with bands. I have to say that this app has no generative qualities other than looping and decaying what you play. And to make it even more boring, there is only one bell like sound to play with. Not worth any price. I feel scammed.
I just discovered the another generative app called RjDj and it actually does what it claims. Very cool. - Bloom review by pleskorb
Crackling disappointment   Like others with iPod Touch 2G, I am getting the static-y crackling noise, which completely defeats the purpose of this application. I want a refund, or a fix, but the App Store provides no possibility for either. My review jumps to 4 stars once they fix that. - Bloom review by guidude
Doesn't work with my 2G Touch...   As many others have noted, audio on 2G touch has constant repetitive clicking and crackling sounds, making it next to useless. I emailed the developer at the published support email address, but no response.... Concept is great, but it doesn't work. - Bloom review by ne57
Not really worth $3.99   Bought it, but got bored in a few minutes. Some percussion would be nice. I had assumed this was some kind of looping app. A metronome wwould be nice. Also, it appears to be 3/3 time - would be nice if 4/4 was an option. In addition, buying it over wi-fi seems to have caused major syncing problems with the phone. Long backup time after buying this app. - Bloom review by Consider me wrecked
Sounds like old crap radio on new touch   This is a pretty cool app. Actaully spent several minutes messing around making some interesting music. The #1 issue is the static noise and crackling and poping. This needs to be fixed. It sounds terrible through the internal speaker and is still heard through headphones if plugged in. I would give this 4 stars if it wasn't for that issue. - Bloom review by Gsikora3258
beautiful   this app is really gorgeous.. you can easily get swept away while playing it. really relaxing, but also really moving and fun to play! i highly recommend it, money well spent! what brian eno said about this app being like a music box, made a lot more sense after playing with it.. it's gorgeous. really well done! i hope that future updates will bring a way to flip on and off the background drone whenever you wish, not that i don't love the drones, they're really gorgeous, it would just add some dynamic to be to create sections without it and bring it back in! and some sort of tempo light or measurement for the loops would be fun to be more precise with the looping.. BUT this app is beautiful and simple, which is exactly what makes it so charming. - Bloom review by wilcothedog
Thanks   I work in the industry with bands that can only dream of having the privilage of working with Eno. This is a perfect example of why people feel that way.
I have used this app to put myself to sleep and wake myself up since I bought it. Laying in bed with it next to my head, looping very soft and meditative arrangements. It's done for me what yoga bells try to do, for $100 less a month.
This app is a must have and once again pushes the bar for the iPhone, mastering simplicity with functionality.
PS: I am a musician and this is the only music app I own. - Bloom review by jaybreakerhouse
Crackling sound fixed.   Now I can relax without:Dun dun dun *CRACCCKK CRACK* dun dun dun.:) - Bloom review by Armbruster @ touchApper.com
Work of Art   I would expect Brian Eno to create something this amazing. It does this app an injustice to place it in the music category. iTunes needs a new app category entitled "Works of Art" - Bloom review by FrunobulaxD
Pleasant, fun, not amazing   While it's obvious there is a lot going on behind the scenes, what this comes down to is some enjoyable simple interactivity that ultimately leaves you with a soothing, repeating ambient rhythm. Nice enough, but hard to truly call genius. - Bloom review by wootdave
