Don't Support Simplify Media It seems like the company is releasing point releases [from 1->2.0] for a charge.If you want to buy software with no hope of getting a few new features for free then go ahead and buy this product.

Wow, pricing tricks Never reviewed anything but had to put in my one star for getting the "good news" that they enhanced the app and I could but it again, after I just got it a few weeks ago. What value!Free on computers, very expensive here. I'm uninstalling it everywhere, not the way to treat customers.

The greedy hand Let me say that this IS a great app ... Too bad the developers leave a bitter taste in your mouth with their shameless greed. Why not just update this version instead of coming out with "2.0". Oh yeah ... That's right ... the developers are greedy swine. Please don't support developers like this ... It's a slipery slope no one should want to go down. With 3.0 coming out ... This will only get worse with all these in app downloads .. Screw these greedy pigs.

$2.99 "free" upgrade I would blindly give 5 stars to Simplify Media, but having to pay again for the new version - which sounds like an upgrade to me - is a not a smart move.

No longer Anxious about 8 GB iPhone! The people writing negative reviews are either naive, spoiled, or impatient to not recognize the awesomeness of this app (For being free or even 4 $, seriously come on people). I'm simply blown away that I can now access my full library of 7,000 songs on my phone wherever I want. When I decided to buy an 8GB instead of the 16, I almost instantly regretted my decision, which I had made in hopes that something like this would come along as well as great apps like pandora and AOL radio, so I could somehow still have a good music selection. I figured if I couldn't hold all 30 gigs of music on my device, there was no point in only having half for the extra hundred bucks. Well, no more anxiety, because now I really only have one random playlist on my actual iPod in the phone and about 7 or 8 necessary albums, leaving 5 1/2 gigs for movies or whatnot, because I have Simplify Media. While the interface may not be as intuitive as the iPod, the added features of automatic Band info and Lyrics is definitely a nice added bonus!Addressing complaints:-Give your computer time to scan all the files, geez, and be patient. I DLed this app at night before I went to bed and checked all my music folders (not just iTunes), and when I woke up, I had access to all my songs. It may take awhile, so why not just relax and play with some other apps or go to sleep.-the sound button is not broken, it just balances between the volume rocker and the on-screen adjuster. If you turn it up all the way on the side of the phone, you won't hear a difference when you adjust on-screen, and vice-versa.-No rewind/FF: maybe a "flaw," but why not just enjoy the full song instead of having iPod ADD? or play the song over again...-Bad quality/functionality: turn off wi-Fi if you're not statically in a hotspot. I've been driving all around the cities using this app and it works fine on 3G/Edge, although you do have to restart every once in awhile if it switches (is this really THAT big of a deal?) By turning off WiFi, it reduces the amount you will need to restart... Get over yourselves (negative) people, and realize that this is a beautiful piece of programming that thwarts the storage problem of the iPhone for dedicated music lovers, and also waves a steady hand at Apple for having the one-up on them and releasing this ability so quickly. Best App sor far! This is the best app so far it works great over EDGE and Wifi. For those of you who have itunes protected songs that you can't listen to burn those songs to a CD then re-import that CD into itunes and you now have a version of the song that is not protected. Great app, needs some kinks worked out This is the app I've been waiting for. I've been playing with it for an hour or so on using edge, 3G and Wifi on the iPhone. iTunes DB downloads quickly in all cases, with album artwork, biographies and lyrics not far behind. The UI can be a little shaky, especially the volume slider which gets stuck at 100% and cannot be decreased. The main issue is actually streaming the music. Perhaps it's because Gizmodo featured the app again the day I was testing and Simplfy's servers were spiking with traffic, but it was very difficult to get any media to play at all. When it did play, it worked well. I was able to switch between albums, artists, etc with reasonably low latency. However, 80% of the time, I'm stuck in buffering mode with my fully charged battery draining quickly!I will wait until performance improves before inviting friends to share their libraries.I've been waiting for this app to hit the store. In a word... Wow! I can't believe how easy this was to set up and use. I'm blown away at the functionality of this app. I can easily see, as it's intigrated into my every day life, becoming more used than the iPod icon. Being able to FINALLY get full use of my music library during my daily commute is invaluable. Five stars is a definite for this one. I just tested it on the Edge network - a few seconds to buffer and it was playing music. LOVE THIS APP! Had this app on my 1st gen jailbroken iPhone. So happy it came out here on the app store and it's free! Killer Application It is possible at some point Apple will tie this functionality in themselves, but hates off for Simplify Media for putting together a solid iPhone app that really is extremely useful. I was hesitant to get a 16 gig iPhone 3G because it would not host my entire library of music. No worries any more. I have been using it for the last hour and it is nothing short of awesome.I have not even had a chance to use the share feature, but me and some friends plan to try it out later. Absolutely Unbelievable I would have bought an iPhone, if this was the only thing it did.It takes a while for it to get a list of my entire lib (27,000+ songs), but it gets it.And it plays well over Edge network with a weak signal.
