WOW!!! This is the first review I've ever written on an app. This program is so practical and just simply brilliant. I not only scanned everything in my house with A bar code, I just took it to the store where I'm at now and I can't believe it. YOU CAN COMPARISON SHOP SO EASILY. This app is so worth the money. New upgrade makes it an excellent product I purchased RedLaser a couple months ago and removed it almost immediately because it didn't work well at all. This new update completely solves the problem, now that I don't have to push a button to take a photo it can accurately read barcodes quickly and easily. I'm guessing these improvements are due to some 3.1 features, but this product just went from a 1 to a 5 for me. Really convenient for product comparisons, it has found every item I have tried so far.

This app is great but.. I think this app is great to use, really fast on scaning, n it actually runs really fast on search n all, there's nothin bad about it, BUT only thing is it will be awesome if they made it can use your current location so you could look at around prices between the store around u instead of the online, it u ppls made that work, this will probably be the best app ever made

Incredible. I never review apps but this app is so much improved from the previous version I found it necessary to write one. This scanner works 100% now. The UI is easy to navigate, it scans in literally 1 second, and everything runs smoothly. Reccommended to anyone.

A MUST HAVE APP!!! Since this last update... WOW! I knew this was a great app when I was able to scan the Iphone box & in less then 3 sec it came right up! GREAT JOB!!!
It'd taken a while but WOW it's really great to see this app work every time I need to find a price on a box w/o a price tag on it!

Awesome! The update scans in realtime using the video feed! There's a new mode that lets you scan by just holding up the camera to the barcode, and you don't have to hold it so far away anymore. And there's a *beep* noise so it sounds like a checkout scanner!

Very very cool. With the 3gs, you take a live pic and the phone automatically pulls up the description of the item and competitors prices. I did a couple items for the clerk in office max and we were both blown away.

RedLaser app Review difficult to align, does not read well in low light, not worth the money. Once it gets a scan lock, it does offer good info+sites, costs etc. If it was a free app it might be an interesting diversion, but as a useful tool, not reliable.

Awesome Didn't work on my 3gs at all before the latest update. It took a long time for the promised update to come. But now that it's here it's great!! It scans fast and it's been 100% accurate so far. Love it!

What a joke don't waste our money on this garbage 1st Gen phone will not even do anything but blink green. Maybe it would help if I scan the freaking item and emailed you a copy and you could scan it on your freaking phone. Zero stars should be an option.

Latest revision is excellent Prior to this revision, a scan would take several seconds, the accuracy was questionable, and I couldn't always count on the results. Well, this update seems to have fixed those issues. Most scans take less than a second, and the products are almost always found. Great job with this latest release.

Removed This was one of my favorite apps until it was removed from my iPhone because it's "not compatibe" with 3.0.1. Really? Tell me what exactly this app needs in the 3.1 firmware that isn't in 3.0.1???

Nice App Saw an article submitted on digg and the article said it was nicely done so I checked it out, takes a steady hand to do but works pretty well. Tested a couple things in my house, took a couple tries but got it. A flaw I see is that it can't read music CD bar codes, don't know if it's just me or the reflection or what, but other than that the app is perfect. But don't expect much you need to have a steady hand

Cool but still got some serious bugs. So when the app works it works well and is pretty cool. I have found two problems with it. First you need to be holding the iphone perfectly horizontal or vertical when taking the pics (for example have the item/barcode on a table and be taking the pic directly over top of it). If the iPhone is at an angle, for example you are holding the product in one hand and the iphone in the other and both are not perfectly horizontal or vertical, the pic it captures ends up being shifted such that the barcode you captured is no longer in the target box. I think this may have something to do with the accelerometer. The second issue is that you need to hold it pretty steady...if the pic has any blur to it then it will often misread the numbers on the barcode...it would often take me 2-3 takes to get a clear enough picture of the barcode to work correctly. Despite the above, when you actually get a clear picture taken of the barcode it then works pretty well... quickly and accurately identifying the item. Overall this is a pretty amazing app at a very affordable price...just needs a little more tweaking to be perfect.

Works great It's actually works great. It is really hard to make software to take a blurry image and then turn it into something readable by a machine. Hat's off to you guys - too bad Apple didn't make a phone with an autofocus camera - maybe gen 3...

Re-usable App This worked on first try and gave me a very long list of links and prices. I can see myself using this App on a daily basis unlike most of the disposable Apps that loose there appeal after the 3rd time.
