Misleading, and meager READ THE FINE PRINT! This is NOT from the National Weather Service or NOAA! It is a misleadingly packaged app which accesses a very small fraction of the weather information they provide. What you actually get is an official looking package, with very little in it. Save your $2 for something worthwhile, and find your NOAA forecast on the web and make a link to it on your iphone desktop instead!!!!

Great app! A great app! The additon of the marine forecast makes this quite useful for sailors and the animated radar is both fast and beautiful. This is now the only weather app I use. Thank you NWS!

Best weather info This one gives you straight weather info, that's what I need
The only thing i would like to see done is, when you switch to map view, that it marks your location, and outlines the counties.
Also the radar, besides base reflective, can we get an easier to read radar also, like on TV News?

Jen ***The update has improved this app a great deal! (hence the bump from 1 to 3 stars) I find it much easier to look up locations and add them to my list. I also like the added marine features for my vacation travels. However, I would still like to see the ability to arrange the locations myself within the list, rather than the app do it for me. Also, push notifications for severe weather alerts would be awesome!
*My old review* "I would like to be able to arrange the locations myself in the app. Also, I don't always know the ZIP code for locations to where I'm travelling, which makes this app difficult to use."

Like the app very much This app is still a bit "raw" as its developer warns, but as a long time user of the NOAA website, I liked getting the NOAA feeds (even though this isn't an offical NOAA product). The weather radar is cool. I thought the app was straight-forward to figure out how to use. For you negative reviewers, hey, it is only $2. Maybe someday NOAA itself will come up with something better.

Works well! This app provides the exact forecasts that I view regularly from the NOAA NWS site. Turn on location services to let the app find you, otherwise you can manually enter locations. Replaced 1 star review with 5 now (had issue with getting land forecasts). The key: email the developer. The cure:Please make sure you have the latest version (2.0) as updates are currently free. The application should attempt to locate you if there are no forecasts configured. You can also manually add forecast locations:• In Land 'Forecasts & Events' press the [Settings] button (top right)•Press [Locate] (bottom) to have the app automatically locate you...•Press[+] to manually add a location:◦In 'Find Forecast' type in 'City, St' or a zip code◦Press [Search]◦Press [Enable Forecast]•Press [Done] (top right)

Great for weather! So what if this is not an official National Weather Service product? It works well for my needs; quickly viewing the weather for multiple locations. The animated radars load nice and quick too. Push notifications would be awesome!!!Peace!

AWESOME!!! (v2.0) Can't understand why anyone would rate less than 4 or 5 stars.
I open the app, it loads the NWS info for the communities I've configured, voilà! At-a-glance summary list for multiple locations, click on one to drill down for more info. Took me < 10 minutes after downloading to set up 11 location bookmarks. Info loads WAY faster than NOAA community/location web page - was using that already - and gives me multiple locations instead of just one per page.

Excellent radar. The NOAA is where every other weather app gets their info. The full motion radar loads ten times faster than any other app. Interface is a little clunky but easy once you see how it works. Those reviewers that claim this is a text only app are the same people that elected Obama.

What a piece of junk This is the first app that made me think "refund". I put in the location, and it says, "No forecast". It does not cache anything for the iPod Touch. Forget about reviewing the forecast (if there were one) later in the day. The UI to add counties or locations is a mystery. I entered a general area to the list, but never did figure out the purpose of that. Yes, all for $1 more than the other apps, and with less information or cached info than some of the free apps. Don't fall for the NOAA logo. You would do better bookmarking NOAA in Safari.

Two bucks... Come on! What kills me are comments like "not worth $2" . Think about it. Two bucks! You can't even get a cup of coffee for two dollars! Two dollars is nothing! You pay $30/month just for the iPhone service! How petty, absurd! Of course this is worth $2. You are in the early years of app development. Someday these apps will go for... let's see: $19.95? Be thankful they're giving these apps away as they determine the market. Great app! By the way, it is not just the previous comment I am responding to. I see comments like this everywhere.

Just Ok Should be able to bookmark marine forecasts. I just want to be able to see the Buzzards Bay (in the Boston report) marine forcast everyday without having to navigate there everytime.
