Diddy DJ Lite - Diddy
DIddyDJ Lite replicates the key functionality of a CD DJ deck, allowing you to load up tracks, cue position, and alter the tempo, allowing you to beat mix tracks together like you would with CD's in a live dj set.
A Club DJ uses pitch & position on a CDDJ or ProVinyl Deck to cue a track into another one.
Diddy DJ Lite v1.0.2 is the latest version of this application for the iPhone & iPod Touch from Diddy the UK DJ, Producer & Artist.

Limited, but potentially useful As somebody else stated, this app does what it says... To sum up it's abilities and limitations:
It allows you to loop an audio file and push/drag the timing to match the timing of another sound source. It also gives you tempo adjustment so you van match the tempo of another sound source.
These are all the basic features which are required to use this as a Dj tool, except that the tempo adjustment has a very limited range only being able to be adjusted from about 110 bpm to 140 bpm.
Give a wider bpm range and the ability to play mp3s and this could actually be used as a virtual turntable. Then add some touch screen scratchig and then you'd have a serious Dj tool.
Keep working diddy, it's coming along!

Potential Well as I see it you guys giving bad reviews are not djs this is not a toy. This is a tool. When you mix music you have to plug into a mixer #1. #2 you have to have 2 itouch or iPhones conect each one to the mixer. The you can transfer your music and mix it throu the mixer by using the tempo tools of the app. For you to use it properly you will need to use the ff buttons play and tempo to the right. Other wise there is no use for the end user to have this app. It's a turn table people. Educate your self before rating. Idiots gosh!

Beware of uneducated reviews This app is designed for those who DJ. Most of the people that are reviewing it do not. They don't understand what the app is meant for. You are supposed to play a song in your iTunes and then open this app. You then use the pitch slider (someone referred to it as being upside down but it is actually accurate to it's orientation on a real turntable) to adjust the tempo of the loop to put it in time with the song playing. Think of it as a live mash-up. This is what a DJ does when they play out. Therefore do not necissarily listen to uneducated reviewers. ok.. i dont want to be negative either, because i think it is a nice programm, the thing is that i think it would be much nicer if the programm made use of the stereo output of the ipod... so that it would turn your turned on music on for instance your right earphone, and the beat on your left. Mike Nelson It has been said before how this app is 'misunderstood'. Anyone who is a dj, or knows the techniques behind djing can see the potential of this app. It is a simple tool to be used in conjunction with your music player to work on beatmatching.
