From good to worthless a fish's bicycle   This program was pretty good. But now you need a NETWORK CONNECTION! Don't bother with this app unless you will only need tide information when you have a wireless internet connection handy. It was an incredibly stupid move to make this app dependent on a network connection. File this one with the fish's bicycle!

It’s worth paying for and it’s free   This is a review of Ver. 2.2 of TideApp running under iPhone OS 2.1.Atlantis Technology should be applauded for putting such a well done app out there for free. This app starts out with a list of states and provinces (and other countries). It’s a lengthy list. After selecting a state, you are then presented with a sub-list of inlets, bays, and ports within that state/province. The selections are comprehensive and lengthy and I applaud Atlantis for this. Selecting a specific location provides you with a text-based summary of the present tide conditions and notable upcoming highs and lows. You can also click on a graphical tide graph (sinusoidal curve) to easily see where the current tide is in the grand scheme of things. As other reviewers had pointed out about Ver. 2.1 of this app, the two-step nature of selecting a location (state/port) could be tedious because of the comprehensive listings. So Atlantis Technology rapidly responded with their Ver. 2.2 which allows you to create a “Favorites” folder and to select one of your favorites as the default startup screen.Given that this does what it says, is simple to use, is plenty fast in retrieving data, and is FREE, I give TideApp five stars. Thanks Atlantis. - tideApp review by Greg L
Almost perfect   Need to be bookmark or at least save default location. Accuracy great now. - tideApp review by Tom95521
Horrible   I HATE how you have to reset your location each and every time you open this app! For this reason and this reason alone I will not use this app. - tideApp review by cass318
Works great on iPhone 3G, even has color plots!   Very simple to use, produces output like you'd get on a web site like XTide, but streamlined for handhelds. As a bonus, hit the 'Chart' button in the upper right corner and get a color plot of the tides for the next 48 hours - very nice. Would give it 5 stars if you could save previously used locations, but otherwise, a great app! How about adding an option to use your location (iPhone) to find tide stations nearby? - tideApp review by SeaBuckster
Tide times   There is no time zone correction for the time of the tides. The base time zone appears to be the US Eastern Time Zone, with no opportunity to enter the users local time zone. In the case of Alaska, this creates a 4 hour error, unless the user mentally corrects for the difference. Not a good deal if you are relying on this app to anchor in an unfamilar location. Good for general information perhaps, but you would be better off using a local tide book, or NOAA Tide Charts for your location. - tideApp review by pmcktnak
Bravo...   To the developer for listening to the users and adding requested features, like bookmarking favorite tide stations. This is now a top app in my book. Well done! - tideApp review by SergZak
Great Little App   Super app - helps me plan my fishing & boating trips without the hassle of searching for paper tide charts. Great job!! - tideApp review by 2thepoint
Too Bad   Great idea, but the times for Hawaii tides were way off. Didn't check it against any other locations. - tideApp review by tide viewer
Tide data is accurate   I compared the output in this application to www.tidesandcurrents.noaa.gov and they matched! This application is going on my iPhone immediately. - tideApp review by WxGod
Great app. Must have for boaters and anglers.   Awesome full featured tide charts and forecasts. I was amazed at all the locations that were provided. I would like to see a search feature or a bookmark feature. - tideApp review by Nissmo66
Five stars if I can get a chart!   Great app. Really helps and so much faster then looking on the web via Safari. - tideApp review by Gfw123
Useful, would like a change   I would like bthe locations to be listed under the actal geographic state; O had to look up Kittery, Maine tides under New Hampshire even though Kiytery and Seavey Island are I'm Maine. I am glad to have the Favorites feature. A small wish is for the icon to be updates, perhaps navy blue with the shiny effect to match the icons of most other apps available on iPhone. I would be willing to pay for this app. - tideApp review by PowerWidow
Please add CURRENTS   I like this app, the tide info is great, but like most people I want bookmarks please. Also it would be 10 times more useful to boaters if you included CURRENTS as well. Those are obviously offset from the tide information and affects your speed a whole lot more than knowing when the tides are high and low. - tideApp review by Meegus
Good but...   I wish lake michigan in Chicago was included... Idk why that's not here but Idaho is... - tideApp review by CIOV0X
Looks good, but....   I'll give it three stars now, but still not matching NOAA numbers. The chart is nice though. The numbers I'm seeing are off by a few minutes and a few feet, but I thought NOAA was standard for most people checking tides - tideApp review by geezfools
Thanks for the free app, but...   ...it would really be great if it would go straight to the last port viewed when opened. I sail from the port nearest my house 99% of the time, and it's a bit annoying to have to scroll through dozens of California ports in the list to get to it when that page was displayed last time I closed the app. Aren't iPhone programs supposed to always open where you left off?Otherwise, it's a really nice app, and I appreciate that it's free! - tideApp review by 24liberty
Expand   Pretty nice app! Though, would it be possible to load a week or two of tide information into memory? I can see that as a nice feature for those iTouch users.
Also, why can't I find many beaches in San Diego County? Would be nice to expand this.
To echo another comment, pls pls pls consider an updated icon :-). With the current icon your app is "banned" to screen 3...
Thanks for your consideration. - tideApp review by MahTeus
Not really that great!   What good is this if that does not show some cities in the Ventura County area, like Simi Valley and Thousand Oaks. These are major cities! - tideApp review by CricJoBlos
