The Snow Report - The North Face
The North Face® Snow Report 3.0 has everything you need for your next trip to the mountains. Track your day. Post a photo to Facebook. Get snow conditions, weather forecasts, full trail maps and other details for just about any resort you can imagine.
Version 3.0 features a number of enhancements. New integrated Facebook component allows you to upload status and photos directly to your wall. The new Track feature allows season-long tracking of each day on the hill. Record weather details, date, location and notes – even in the backcountry. Track to any of your "added" resorts as well as search for any resort in the world. Access detailed snow conditions, including 24, 48 & 72-hour snowfall totals, for your favorite resorts and top 10 resorts globally. Spread the word with a resort-specific Twitter feed that allows you to “tweet” directly from the app. Link to avalanche forecasts for your favorite zones. As always, the locate function helps you get there and, when you’re on the mountain, the trail map feature allows you to check out the lay of the land. You can even link to the resort site, get detailed forecasts from Weather Underground or find The North Face® store near you.

Killer App! Hey Growler1969 is it a coincidence that you only review Zumobi apps and then give competing apps bad reviews? Get a life. This is hands down the best snow report on the itunes store. I like REI but it's lame that they have their developers out there sabotaging other people's apps, especially since they actually sell North Face at REI. You don't need anything else this winter. Amazing innovation and design. Good job TNF.

The best snow app in the app store! I don't understand how people are giving this app bad reviews. Probably people with competing apps trying sabotage. Crazy innovation by integrating Twitter, love the global top10 feature, weather underground is a good call, much more in depth resort reporting than the original version, avalanche feature shows they know what is up, and the SMS push function is very smart. And it's free! All snow totals also are quite accurate, even for japan an EU resorts. North Face continues to prove why they are the leader.

Give me a break Application would be alright if it didn't turn off my music playing in the background on my new Ipod Touch everytime it was started.Who ever heard of an Ipod application that kills the music!Also missing plently of info (like a trail map for Sugarloaf/usa in Maine) If it can't get the basic how can you believe the data?

Fun and pretty but not usefull This app looks great! It let's you choose your own background and has a 5 day forcast with every resort. Oh, did I mention you can add as many snow resorts as you want. However, the down side to this is it is not at all accurate. The informaition on some mountains is completely wrong. Overall is a great app if they fix the many things wrong with it.

Almost! This Is a very nice app. But it needs to have to at look at webcams. And the acuracy needs to be improved. Looks nice and let's you have as many resorts as you want. A lot better than that REI. Crap!

Needs improvement Would love to be able to change the base measurements to inches instead of cm. The trail maps are a great idea but once you zoom in on them you realize they're a low resolution scan and the details are blurry and unreadable. Like the REI app better.

I hope TNF gear is designed better than this app... Not sure about the consistency of resort info, but I noticed some data is missing for some resorts. I would like to add more resorts to the app but only allowed 10. The trail maps are completely worthless. They are small and don't allow the ability to zoom in close enough to see trail names and other detailed info.

Inaccurate info The the user interface is awesome. The bells and whistles factor is great ie trailmaps, location, weather etc. But current conditions are not consistent with what the resort's actual site puts out. If the info bugs get ironed out this app would be 5 stars. Try subscribing to your resorts rss feed with google reader. That's one way to have all your snow info in one spot.

Great all around snow app Liked this app much better than the REI app. This one is fully customizable and allows you to pick and track your favorite resorts. The additional features like trail maps and resort websites are nice too. Only real complaint is that whenever you try to access these additional features, it slows down the app. Overall, really nice app, too bad the season is over so I can't really test out its accuracy.

just okay the interface is nice but the data is often inaccurate. not sure why they limited the amount of resorts you can add; the iphone's horsepower can definitely handle more. viewing trail maps often results in an appcrash

Perfect Like many Coloradoans, I own a ski pass that includes many mountains along I-70. I often hop in the car and start driving, not even knowing which one I'm headed to. This great app lets me check out all my favorite and mountains and decide where I'm going on the fly, based on who has the most new snow. Good free snow reports Every snow report so far has its strengths and weaknesses, this one included. It is laid out quit well, providing basic weather conditions for each resort. The graphics are great and I like the ability to change the background wallpaper. The trail map is not always useful, for example the Whistler/Blackcomb map cannot be zoomed enough to make it useful. The resort site and NOAA buttons are links to the corresponding sites in Safari, taking you out of the application. The search function could not find as many resorts as competing applications. It does not show the number of trails or lifts open, nor does it show the number of acres. All in all, it is a great free snow reporting tool. - The Snow Report review by erayl
Great app, could use a few mods to be perfect Very handy little app with a couple of little annoyances:1) Entirely dependent on network connectivity; it would be great if static info was cached, such as trail maps, location map, etc; weather in "cached" mode could be entirely bypassed -- I ended up trying to use it on the mountain just for the trail map (could not care less for weather: I was right there to see it first hand), but with no coverage the app was dead.2) No info on numbers of open lifts and runs. 3) No shortcuts to anything related to the station, such as phone numbers, lift ticket prices, etc; for these the user has to entirely rely on the Safari link to the actual website, but some of this could be maintained (and cached) within the app (much like the weather that is visible in a summary format right away and available in more detail through a link to NOAA).4) A one glance, list summary view would be great. Not Accurate At All I live in Breckenridge, and looking out the window, seeing 6 inches of snow, hearing on the radio we got 6 inches of snow, and then looking at this app say zero inches? Not good. The resorts update the snow report every morning at like 5am, so why can't this app get it right. It's not true when they say the resort hasn't updated today, they update everyday of the season, no matter what. Good thing it's free. I'll be deleting. Best bet is to create a web clip of your resorts actual daily snow report on the web, and making an icon on your home screen. - The Snow Report review by Radiohead#1Fan
