Better than using "straight" Craigslist One problem with using the Craigslist website via the pocket version of safari on the iPhone/iPod Touch is the overabundance of on screen restate (Too many web links) making it difficult to navigate to where you want to go. Craigslist Mobile vastly simplifies this to a standard iPhone/iPod Touch app interface thereby making it a great alternative to using the website “raw”.

Bad Apple Not just censorship...hypocrisy! There's an App made by Apple that will pull uncensored content from the web (even Adult Content). It's called Safari and it comes with the iPhone! Apple's policy is unfair, inconsistent, and blatently hypocritical!

An extremely useful program If u had read up on it you'd realize it was apple, not the developers, that madethe decision to remove those sections. Yes it is a shame but the developers should bit be considered at fault.

Long time CL user - don't bother with this Nice concept, amateur hour, awful execution. Fonts are awful - doesn't look or feel like an iPhone App. Interface is clumsy and a subset of CL. Can't select the full set of subcategories like on CL, display doesn't look as nice when scrolling through ads, no pictures. It's not even worth an in-depth critique. Just use Safari and surf CL in portait mode. Looks better, works better, and more functional. Only thing going for this is it is convenient not to have to bring up Safari so all other things being equal - wait - already went over that part. Some limitations, but pretty useful even so Near as I can tell, this app does not show pictures on Craigslist ads. However, it will launch Safari and you can look at the pictures there. Also, it does not allow you to rename rename a bookmark which is a shame because the name given by the app does not include the subcategory, so all you know is the bookmark concerns something in the "for sale" category. There are a couple of rough edges: the monospace font, an edit button that does not change to "done" while you're editing, and the like. No ability to search San Francisco?!? The most granular this app will get you is to search "SF Bay Area". That's too wide a net for me. I need to be able to search in San Francisco alone. Secondarily bookmarking searches only stores the categories not any search terms so you have to re-enter them. Another $3 wasted. Great app, horrible font I really would like to give it a 4 star but I can't stand the font. It really really needs to be the standard font on the iPhone. Also there are no pictures unless you click the link to open up craigslist in Safari. Choosing a city is a bit of a pain since you can't narrow down the search by state. But other than that it works great. Much easier than searching craigslist in Safari. Quite nice! This is most definitely a nice first attempt! I use craigslist all the time and this layout works pretty nicely. I agree with a previous reviewer that the font is pretty annoying (options for this would be nice) and it would help a lot if there were pictures for each ad placement on the ad itself instead of having to dig inside the ad to see (much like the firefox addon does) Being able to work within your own account would be a great addition as well.All in all though, a good app for only $3 especially if you use craigslist a lot. :) - CraigsMobileList - craigslist companion review by Jandus
Needs MUCH improvement. I was excited to stumble upon this craigslist app in the app store, only to be let down by the horrible UI. It didn't even much bother me that it was 3 bucks, as this is a small price to pay for a website I constantly visit. I was expecting much faster searches and easier navigation overall, but the cities took too long to scroll through, the searches loaded even slower than on safari (if they loaded at all), and the user interface as a whole is a bit crummy for not being a free app. This app is in desperate need of an update, until then I'll stick with safari. - CraigsMobileList - craigslist companion review by Vettemaster7
A Must Have Living in NYC I find myself on Craigslist about every other day. This is a must have application as I'm often browsing for the same item or apartment rental over and over again. It gets rid of the need to keep typing in the same info. It just gives you what you want. Although I do agree with the previous post in that a new font is needed. Re: No ability to search San Francisco This isn't a review as I've yet to try this application, this is simply a response to the review mentioning that the most granular you can get is the San Francisco Bay Area. Take a look at Craig's List once. From what I can see the only mention of San Francisco there is "SF Bay Area". My first bad review And it is my fault. I even read the reviews, and thought "it can't be that bad". Nobody said that it just doesn't work. At all.
Forget the complaints that the fonts aren't pretty. It just doesn't work.
I tried searching four major cities, looked for "for sale" items and housing and jobs. Never returned a single responce.
