Best Dollar Application ever found   Pros: Best design since it is very hard to create a simple interface application for main street people ( Try using Apple default Notes and see the difference ).You can use this for both professional and personal applicationI am a Systems Architect. This is one of the few reviews I have ever written. Following are my reviews1. Password Protection2. Landscape mode data entry - so you can enter the text faster3. Easy Journal entry search using 2 methods (Next day or Previous day or use scroll wheel by date)4. Very clever design to use the Volume bar to change the date of Journal entry5. Very fast response 6. Email the entry (This is really GREAT feature) - When I travel and in the mood I can send Love notes to my wifeCons:1. Unable to control the application in landscape mode- After entry I have to tilt the device to potrait mode to go to other sections2. Ability to send multiple pages/days of notes through 1 email message.3. Color Highlighting, Strike Through the sentence features (similar to a paper dairy),Font color change are missing4. If my wife wants her own dairy with her own password do I need to buy this again for the same device?? I will post this to the developer.Finally- This price is a bargain. This is worth more than a dollar.

Great Diary App   I love My Diary's simplicity and options. I can finally track my daily thoughts, feelings, observations, deeds, occurrences, etc. Just one concern. The ability to back up and restore is missing. Yes, you can email out each month's entries, but this does not provide for a full backup and restore. With a Diary, that ability is indespensable. There can be many reasons an iPhone looses data, apps, or in cases need of a full reset. I would feel safer if my daily thoughts can be backed up prior to an iPhone version update, taking in for Service, or exchange.Aside from that, it looks great. Keep up the good work.

Handy Little App   This application is really useful. I'm not sure why an earlier poster mentioned that there was no delete. You can delete entries with a horizontal swipe. This review is for version 1.0.2. Posted on October 9, 2008.

Private? There's no password protection!   I'm giving this app 1 star for deceptive advertising. By touting the importance of a "private" diary, the developer implies that the diary is lockable. Add the locking feature and adjustable font size and this would be a fine app. - My Diary review by Andrew A
ADDED "LOCKER" FEATURE (9/5/2008)= 5 STAR   CREATOR SAID HE WOULD UPDATE THIS APP WITH A "LOCKER/PASSWORD" PROTECTION AND HE DID AS PROMISED (SEE BELOW). I LOVE THIS APP AND USE IT DAILY TO TAKE DOWN PERSONAL THOUGHTS AND IDEAS ABOUT WORK. ITS WORTH EVER PENNY!! I would like nothing more than to keep a personal diary on my iphone, but like most of you know...everyone wants to see your iPhone and mess with it. So to have such personal info so easy to be seen a password protection is a MUST for this APP. The other MUST have is some type of back up / email / or upload option to Mobileme. With that said, I emailed "My Diary, Inc" and this was the reply to my requests..."indeed the password is an very important function, I'm working on the locker feature which will be release in the next update, and the backup/restore function is also whats keeping me busy"So I believe you can feel safe that if you start your diary now, your personal thoughts will be password protected with his next update. So lets support this guy by showing our interest now and paying the small price of $0.99. - My Diary review by ljneal
Good Weight Management Tool   This app may not be for serious diary/journal keepers (as I see their reviews), but being a weight and lifestyle mangement its a great tool for logging in my food and my activities (exercises, etc) without being controlled with my input and calories unlike many other fitness applications. Keeping it simple, if you have your own system of getting your fitness data (body fat analyzer at the gym/home, Polar heart rate monitor, etc, and already have your own workout system), you wont really need most of the features a lot of apps from the health and fitness section. All you need is a god diary where you can log in without checking the time constantly. For the others you are confused about editing the time, in the page for that log just double tap on the date and you can edit the date and time. For those who are complaining about the passcode, I really dont understand when you say you can't use the lock feature. It seems to work well with mine. In spite of reading those reviews though I gave it a try, thinking that who in the world would be interested in my food and exercise log and who will i want to hide it from? So I just went ahead and bought it, besides its only $0.99. Worth a try I thought. And I'm glad that I did. - My Diary review by blinkidoo
Great diary app   It works great. I write my inner feelings and thoughts and hats off for the lock function. Thank you developers! - My Diary review by lizbear
Loss of six months worth of writing...   I have written a four star review before, but I wanted to mention that I just had my ITouch stolen and all of my material on the device is now gone because as an ITouch I couldn't "email it" to myself without finding a WiFi, which isn't easy where I'm located. IPhone users have a much easier time with that particular function! I just wanted to caution ITouch users to send your diary posts to yourself by email often!! And I also wanted to ask the developer if it is possible to provide a "backup" feature for when the Ipods are synced with the ITunes??? - My Diary review by Saberil
Disappointed - should have a few more features   Only $.99, so I'm not expecting much, but it should have more. Only 2 screens. Screen to view entries, and a screen to enter single text note. Neither one of them is well designed. Font size is way too big in text note, and the diary listing uses space poorly. Plus there are no settings to fix this. What's needed - tags, ability to set date, and search. Long term - a way to get notes off the phone. - My Diary review by BillV
i love this!   finally a diary where my cousins cant read it! the lock code WORKS! thankyou!!! amazing[: worth your money if you like writing[: - My Diary review by metaljade
Superb journal   It's a dollar for an iPhone-based journal. The interface is clean, the font size is perfect for writing, and it's easy to navigate your entries by date and month, while retaining previews of each entry from the main screen. I can write short thoughts on the go that can't be flipped open and read by coworkers like a paper journal. As shown by repeated updates, the developer is reacting to user feedback and diligently updating the app. That really impresses me. A minor issue with the lock was fixed and ability to forward entries to your email was added, which allows you to backup your work. I'll vote it a perfect five stars when it has either: a search function, different paper options, or the ability to import or link pictures from your camera roll to specific entries. Overall, great app! - My Diary review by Kityoko
Good little app, a few suggestions ... almost a 5 Star   This is a good little app but a few suggestions would make it stand out a bit better.Make the font size smaller - have choice of fontsTextured background (lined paper or paper texture) - have choice of texturesSome export or email capabilitiesThose 3 simple additions would be great, with the user choices would make it excellent!! - My Diary review by ManFromTexas
All I needed   This app is easy to use and straight foward! I don't need all the bells and whistles just a quick place to put my events of my day in one place. I guess I got the update because I have a lock feature. The only complaint I have is I don't know how to delete a entry. I can delete the text but the time stamp remains! - My Diary review by Bcarp
Backup and Password Protection ARE Included   Ignore the negative reviews. There is both password protection and backup built into this excellent app. I've been using it for about 1 month and have found virtually nothing wrong with it. Yes, a backup button would be nice, but it is backed up every time you sync your iPhone/iTouch to iTunes. Also, in widescreen it is missing a "back" button when you finish your entry. You have to rotate to portrait mode to get to that button. Those are minor in comparison to the nice features. It's pretty good but...   It won't let me delete!
Ughhh!
That's so annoying! - My Diary review by iLovexMusic
Terrific! Easy, handy.   Thanks for the lock! Some pals have borrowed my phone and I would sweat a little. Now, no worries! This is the diary I always wanted. No need to fill a big page. One sentence is fine. No heavy book to carry. Just perfect! - My Diary review by App-etite
Love it   I love this app. Normally I don't review apps but this one was necessary to. I'm so glad there's a password option on it. My friends and sister always want to see what's in it but now they'll never know. Definitely worth one dollar. - My Diary review by lovepink95
