MapD is an application that enables the user to determine distances just by inserting pins on a map.
The software indicates the accurate distance to be traveled over a route selected by the user.
Main features of MapD
・Indication of distance between points on a map Distance is indicated between pins placed on a map. Multiple pins may be used.
・Indication mode Distances can be indicated as a direct, straight line between selected points or shown as the distance of travel along the selected route.
・Travel time The time needed to reach the selected location is indicated. Travel speed can be set by the user.
・Measurement mode Distance can be indicated by the metric system (meters/kilometers) or the English system (yards/miles).
・Contact location Pins can be added to the map by selecting a contact from Contacts. Distance between current location and a selected contact or distance between selected contacts can easily be measured and indicated.
・Search by address, geographic coordinates Location can be determined by entering an address or the latitude & longitude coordinates.
・Full-screen mode Maps can be viewed in full-screen mode.
・GPS When user location changes, GPS data is automatically updated and the distance between current location and destination is promptly recalculated and displayed. Shinya Sugawara
