A must have App   Works just like says it does Some people are hating on it but that's cuz they don't know how to use "Apps" in general. If they keep crashing reboot! If it still happens it's not always the app you might have too much junk on your phone that's hogging all your memory!

Get this before you buy your college books   I got this app a week after I bought my books for school, and discovered that I could have gotten all of them for about half of what I paid. I guess I'll be able to put this to better use next quarter. Awesome app btw!

Works amazingly, even with terrible photos; built-in web searches are lacking   I tried a bunch of stuff, and got zero failures. Some of the challenges it beat:* A 20-year-old book seen in near-darkness* A CD box set in a plain cardboard sleeve with no imagery, just one tiny line of black text the camera couldn't focus on* A 2-inch thumbnail of "Aliens" (a very dark image) on the computer SCREEN--with the camera so close it was an unreadable blurry mess, with other screen clutter intruding at the edges* A page-a-day calendar* A game CD jewel case but not the box it came in* Low light, partially cut-off images that I didn't even bother to hold still for!* TPB comics* Sideways images, upside-down images, images at a diagonal, and images in completely-askew corner-on receding perspective* Images taken at a distance so the product was small in the view--and way off center* Images with huge irregular glare blobs obcsuring the glossy coverSnapTell identified all of the above on the first try. It takes its place alongside Shazam on my iPhone.(Some quirks: The optional web searches appear in SnapTell's own webkit browser view, which lacks some basic things like Back and Bookmark--I'd rather stick to Safari. But for quick info it doesn't much matter. And the UI does weird things if you start the picture-taking with the phone already rotated. Lastly, it would be cool if they added an iTunes Search alongside the Amazon, Yahoo and Google. Maybe RottenTomatoes and IMDB too?) - SnapTell review by M A 4
actually works   i didnt think this was going to work, especially being FREE!!! and all. but i went ahead and tried it and it worked. i took a picture of something half cut off and poor lighting to where i had a hard time making out what it was but this app still got it. to be perfect, we need a link to wiki, google, and youtube. click yes if you agree. - SnapTell review by redspade04
Works perfect!!   Now when I go to blockbuster or barns and noble I won't have to guess if this book or movie is good.. Way too many times have I bought or rented a bad movie..
Just take a picture and you get reviews, info, actors, and more!
As a gamer also I take pics of game boxes and it give me a score! No more renting bad games like spider man 3 LOL and use this before spending over 60 bucks on a game!
And it's free.. So download it!!
Some new updates would be nice though :) - SnapTell review by iheartbangs
Impresive! Unbelievable!   Ok... This is free, GET IT if for nothing else it is amazing how well it works, I am just going around my house snapping pictures trying to get it to screw up, and it has been perfect so far, this is truly amazing... Between this and Shazam, finding and purchasing media on the go has never been easier.
UPDATE: OK, this thing just found a random Disney book from my childhood that was printed in 1983! - SnapTell review by j.eck
Impressive   I just tried it and it is very impressive. With links to more databases I would even pay for this app. Usually when I go to blockbuster to pick a movie I go to Imdb and search for the movie. This app will make it easier and faster. - SnapTell review by Nawari
AmaIng!   Works just like it says... Really amazing and useful app! - SnapTell review by Yubbob
Works great!   Took a photo of a book and the recognition worked perfectly. Was able to read user reviews of it on amazon with a single tap - nice! - SnapTell review by jtyz
Works Perfectly   Tried DVDs, CDs, Video Games, and Books and they all show up. Now it would be cool if it would work with more than just those things because most of those have the title right on the cover but this does provide more info such as rating and actors so its still a quick search with only using just a camera. - SnapTell review by styfle
Excellent program!   Works! This is an amazing, especially it is also free! Thanks! - SnapTell review by Jason Lau
Works well   I was hoping for an app to scan barcodes to look up information about the product. This goes beyond that and scans the packaging. The recognition is very reliable. There is a problem with the itunes link though for recognized cd's. It does not open the itunes app but instead spews a long string of text. They need to fix that.It would also be nice to be able to configure the lookup for specific sites. I don't need a yahoo link but I would want a Rotten Tomatoes link. - SnapTell review by dvessel
Best damn app!!!   Technology at its best. I would of paid for this. Thanks for letting it be free. - SnapTell review by CER0126
Cool but...   It takes a very long time to display results. Once it pulls it up, the app does everything as advertised. Would be 5 stars if it worked faster. - SnapTell review by 98Camaro
Absolutely worth having!   I am totally impressed with this app - it really works and it's free! I've taken snaps of books and CDs in low light, with distracting backgrounds, on the cell network as well as WiFi and it just plain works. The RottenTomatoes link for DVDs is sweet as well. This app is free and you owe it a try! - SnapTell review by Taijitu
Sweet concept   Not sure how useful this is, I mean I can just as easily search Amazon or google. But what an amazing application of technology! This, along with Shazam reminds me of science fiction, only it's real! - SnapTell review by Nowise
Woah!   Works extremly well! I even tried to trick it with somewhat rare underground titles and it figured most of them out. Didn't recognize an original copy of WipeOut for Playststion 1 though. Overall just plain awesome. - SnapTell review by SimplePrimate
Impressive   Works really well, even in low light and shakey hands. - SnapTell review by Comatose kid
Wow. I was surprised   I have to say that I didn't think this thing was going to work either, and if it did, then it probably couldn't find many of the books I took pictures of. Boy was I wrong. I've taken pictures of many books, and it has found everyone so far. It does what it says it does. - SnapTell review by saciinatlga
Ok   I tried snapping Video games and if just listed the guides for the game and not the games themselves. I tried two different games. I'll just stick to Google search. Cool idea though, if improved... 5 stars. - SnapTell review by Lemony
