Baby Tracker: Nursing reviewed by Users
One of the best designed apps in the App store I've been using the nursing tracker with our daughter since she was a week old and largely credit this app with the fact that she's been sleeping and eating on a very consistent schedule since she was about 3 wks old - in contrast to her older brother who was born before the iPhone ; ). She's 3 months now and I still use it every time. In particular, it helps with keeping feedings even between L and R sides so that one side doesn't start producing more than the other (a problem I had before using this app), and also helps to make sure that she's well hydrated (and not just well fed) in these hot summer months. Very intuitive functions. Really great all around. I gasped at the price initially, but consider it such a small investment for what it can help you do. Keep up the good work!

Basic This program allows you to start, pause, stop, and record feeding times and ounces(formula), and it gives you a total daily time, but no other data management. Other programs- which coat less- do more. I've been using this program for the past 2 1/2 months and need something more!

Excellent - but buggy! I have been using this app with my son since birth. He's now 8 weeks old, and I don't know how other moms get along without it. However, at least 4 or 5 times a day, I will go to the app and find that it says "59:59" and gives me the options to save or cancel. However, the nursing log from my previous session has been saved, and the program hasn't been opened since then. I can cancel it, but then it messes up my "last feeding". I can save it, and then I have to go in and delete it. Please fix and release an update!!

Great for new moms! I have been using this app for about 8 weeks now and I have to say I love it! I am able to track how long and how often my son nurses for and give this information to the doctors when they ask. Its especially ncie in the middle of the night so I don't have to figure exactly how long since his last feeding, and I don't have to watch a clock to see how long hes eating this time. I can also input if my husband/babysitter gives him a bottle and how much. I have used this to track my pumping as well even though its not designed to do that. I set up another child under the settings and named it "pump" (i'm not creative w/ names). Then whenever I pump I just switch to that page, time the pump, then edit it to note how many ounces i pumped off and which side. My only issues are the price - its a little expensive in my opinion - and the email function. I emailed it to myself but it was so unorganized in the email that I haven't bothered recording it into an excell document.

My brain saver!! I have twins and would lose track of when I last feed them and for how long they would eat and sleep. I don't have time to keep track of everything so this is a great way to keep track of the most important. It's easy to use even when you're sleep deprived. Thanks!

Best in Class The BEST breast-feeding app out there. Period.Sure, it costs more than the alternatives - but when you're sleep-deprived and dealing with a newborn, THIS is the interface you want to deal with. Check out the screenshots - it's elegantly done while covering the all the necessary bases.Highly recommended - can't recommend this app enough.

I love it. Just few suggestions It is the most used application in my i-phone. I don’t move without it just because I have this app that I use all the time I feed the baby. I just wish that they add some graphics to visualize the feeding patterns. For example, I would like an easy way to visualize how much the baby had feed during the week, and the difference with other weeks. It would also be good to see at what times he eats more and if it is the same over the last days or it is always changing.

Fantastic app for all nursing moms! Awesome App that is very useful! I'm not sure what "DestinyB" is talking about, I never had any problems using this application. It keeps track of things perfectly and you can make edits on any recorded session. I LOVE it!!!!

Just what we needed My wife needed a way to keep track of her nursing routine, but we couldnt remember to bring our log with us everywhere we went, much less keep an accurate record. This app is extremely easy to use with one hand, which is a major plus. It has all important information on one screen, no need to scroll. My wife can tap the app and instantly see how many times baby has fed today, the combined feeding time, and time since last feeding. I use the app in the wee hours of the night when the baby is fussing and I need to check if he is hungry. Great update The update fixed the previously reported problem by starting the timer for time since last feeding at the start of the feeding. However, if you switch breasts during a feeding, it starts from the start of the second breast so... still not perfect. The ability to manually add and edit is great. My only suggestion is to allow for entry of formula feeding with ounces. My husband does the am feeding and it would be nice if I didn't have to keep asking him how much the baby got and when.

Five stars after suggestions implemented! Very useful application for a tired parent! We had tried logging with a notebook, and that quickly became overwhelming. This is much easier. I can't believe someone made this. There are reviewers here who miss the point of this application; they criticize it because they think it is used to limit your baby's feeding times, when it's not. Feed your babies whenever you want; you will still feed on demand, whenever they are hungry. A good application but needs some work to be great My wife has been using the app for 3 days now and is finding it useful. However, there are a few issues which if mitigated could make the app more functional and a bit less frustrating:a) present an 'are you sure?' prompt for anything which resets the timers. too many times already, after stopping the timer to re-latch the baby, 'start over' or 'begin other side' was accidentally hit. this can happen a lot considering a squirming baby, sleepy mother and a touch sensitive screen.b) allow for editing of entries. it would be useful to be able to correct any entries accidentally made by switching prematurely to the other breast or 'starting over' as described in the first issue. similarly if the timer was mistakenly not started, you might want to be able to modify an existing entry.c) allow or the manual addition of entries. currently, you can only add new entries by starting and stopping the timer. that means any historic information can not be added nor can any entries be added for times when the iPod ran out of batteries or was otherwise unavailable (left in the other room).d) as mentioned previously, fix the 'last feed' calculation (from start of last feeding rather than end of). as an enhancement, eliminate the button used to display the elapsed time since 'last feeding' and simply present the elapsed time on the main screen. considering how often this value is being checked, it makes more sense for it to be right there rather than having to click for it.Thanks for listening! - Baby Tracker: Nursing review by bamirian
Great App This app is perfect for mothers that need to track their baby's food intake. I would give it five stars if the ability to add comments to each nursing session were added. That would be a big help for the special needs breastfeeders. Thanks!

Just one thing... Love this app. So helpful and easy when trying to get a screaming baby to latch on. Keeps track of nursing, sides, times, formula bottles & breastmilk bottles. Only suggestion is to also be able to track pumping info - side, length of session, & amount expressed. Very useful I bought this app the day after my baby was born a week ago and have used it for every feeding since. It is excellent! I like to make sure my baby is getting a full feeding and with 8 feedings a day it can be hard to remember whether this one started at the :30 or the :35 etc. Now I can just push the start button and not worry about remembering the timing. It is also nice to see that my baby consistently eats every 3 - 3.5 hours so I can plan my day accordingly. It is easy to use.
