Myth or not - it can’t hurt to stick to conventional wisdom and drink eight 8-ounce glasses of water every day. 'Eight Glasses a Day' is an application that will help you do just that - just touch a virtual glass of water every time you drink a real one!
If you meet the challenge, you will be rewarded with a reason why drinking water daily is part of a healthy lifestyle. If not, don’t worry, at midnight your glasses will magically refill to challenge you the next day.
You can also see how many glasses you have left to drink on the home screen icon itself - just like your e-mail or phone icon. 2009 Emblem Design Group

Good basic 1st draft   Stable and simple but very dry app. I like it but I think some may find it too basic even for a free application.
Others suggest sound effects, a good idea. Other obvious missing features that might even justify a pay version:
1. Quarter or half-filled glasses
2. Customizable number of glasses
3. Calculator for optimal water intake
4. Customizable glassware, background images, etc. Import a photo for ex
5. Count up rather than countdown
6. Customize clock reset time for night owls
7. Weight record so you can see if you are gaining or losing water weight
8. Water consumption history, stats
9. Export to spreadsheet
10. Charts and graphs
Also, too much water can be a bad thing for millions of people with kidney failure, heart failure, or other diuretic-dependent patients. This app can help but would require more features to get there.

Good, but...   I would readily give this cute little app 5 stars if 1) you could choose the number of glasses to drink each day, and 2) the app title "8" changed to show the number of glasses you have left to drink for the day.

Great App.   I am trying to be more intentional about drinking 8 glasses of water a day, and this is exactly what the Dr. Ordered. This helps me stay on track as a visual reminder on how many glasses are left to drink. Sorry Stbks, more water less coffee. Great Work!

good app!   this is a great app, and has easily worked its way into my daily lifestyle. but... (and this is what's keeping me from giving 5 stars) my day does not end at midnight, and i sometimes still have a few glasses to go when the app resets! if i had my way i would either allow the user to specify their reset time, or add a reset button. thanks!

Need more glasses!   I've just started using this, but since I try to drink ten to twelve glasses of water every day, I'd like to see this application updated so that it's able to accomodate more than eight.

Still Needs Some Work   I like this application as I never drink water and anything can help. It needs some improvements before I will give it a 5 though. I would love to see the app have an alarm/vibrate setting that you can set to remind you. When I'm working I don't drink water for a reason, I'm not thinking about it, so at this point this app deosn't really motivate me to drink more. Also, why only 8 glasses, I think the app should allow you to set your goal, go beyond and let's try for 12. I look forwad to the update when it will show the glasses you have left, I hate seeing that I have messages, so maybe this will help motivate me to drink more.

Good app   Consider adding a benefit of drinking water for each glass for motivation.

Great   I love this! It would be really great, though, if it had a log to keep track of how many glasses I drank the previous days, to show improvement.

Love it!   I would give it 5 stars if I could add an additional glass or two; otherwise, it is a great app that keeps me on track with my water requirements! Plus, it's FREE.

Excellent for keeping track of my water intake!   I have a half liter Sigg bottle that I sip on throughout the day. I try to drink 2-3 liters a day, but some days I just lose count of how many bottles I have had. This app remembers how many full bottles I have had! Sometimes when my throat gets really dry or I start getting a slight headache, I check this app and see that I have had almost no liquids during the day. Excellent reminder to drink! My only improvement would be reminders or alarms that popped up saying "Remember to drink!" :)

Awesome   I love this app. The only thing I dream of is it having a history, to keep track of how you're doing across time. That would make it five stars to me!

Cute & Simple   This app is very basic, but in an unconventional way. I am glad the creator of this app didn't attempt to "ritz" it up or add too much to complicate the simple interface. The only things I would like to see added is 1) Instead of just the number 8 as the title, it should be "8 Glasses". (IMHO having just the numeral make it look a little too bare.
2) There should be a badge on the icon that let's us know how many more drinks we have to go.
3) And maybe just for fun, let us change the color of the water (or is that "too much")?
Anyways, good job and thanks; the app is cute, but simple as it may be, it's still a helpful reminder to our health.
