How it works: Binaural beats may influence functions of the brain besides those related to hearing. This phenomenon is called frequency following response. Best Binaural App - BY FAR Double-click blue arrow = you have full control. Choose ambient noise (or none), choose added sounds (or none), choose type of brainwave program, separate volume control for each sound. THIS APP ROCKS. Not impressed. I grabbed this application because it was free, and am sure glad I did not pay for it. There are annoying pauses in the loops, and I find the odd mixes of sounds and binaural beats to be distracting rather than relaxing. Who wants to hear seagulls screeching in your ears when trying to relax? Quite poor implementation Everything that is wrong with this app completely diffeats its purpose. First off, the binaural beats are not generated by the phone, they are looping audio files that don't loop correctly. Your brain can pick up on this and it removes you from the experience. Also the background noises have very audible mess ups in the recordings, such as things bumping into the microphone used. Of course, they do not loop properly either. Very amateur!! And again, this detracts from the overall experience.
I like the idea of this app, but it's not like they came up with it, so no points for that. If I could give zero stars I would, but I guess 1 star is good enough because the interface is decent, but that's it. - Binaural Beats review by fftq

Great first release Nice application. I really like the ability to construct your own themes. My biggest issue (and hopefully it will be addressed in an update) is that the binaural beats have a noticeable hiccup when they loop. I don't know if the binaural beats could be generated on the fly, but if they could, then you could offer sliding from one frequency to another and back. Not so great.... This app has a nice attempt and i'd give it 5 stars, but it crashed my iPhone and the loops are terrible. I wouldn't reccomend this to ANYBODY. Some people who are posting 5 stars...what are you thinking? Now, I liked reasy relax..but this developer is moving too quickly to get his stuff out there. Nothing Special Here, BUT FREE!!!! Nothing special here. They just made ambient, easy relax etc look less scientific which in any case is NOT true.Great move though by the developer. This company is NOT the company you want to get things from. Everyone. TM00007 is affiliated with Easy Relax. Look at his reviews. ALL THESE REVIEWS ARE FAKE. DO NOT LISTEN TO THEM! If you examine the reviews of the people (aka TM0007's reviews) you will notice he has given 1 stars to all other sounds apps except products made by rockifone.com. He has constantly gone to other company's and spammed their reviews sections with bad reviews just to make this company look good. It is unfair and unprofessional. I have reported this company to Apple and got a reply saying that TM007 and rockifine would be getting an email regarding it. They are in trouble with Apple and a TERRIBLE group of people to support. Okay It's free, so that's always cool. I didn't like any of the included presets, they mostly seemed to have too much going on. But making my own was quite satisfying.
Using the existing Easy Relax template was a smart move. It works well here, except for the 'Additional Ambient' channel having no volume control and not having a random playback setting.

Thanks for the free version! I do very much appreciate this free version! Thank you! I have not yet quite noticed if it's done anything for me such as the BrainWave app folks have mentioned in theirs. Is it possible that the ambient noise interferes with the effect? What I would like to request, first of all, is the smoothing of the loops. Some of the gaps are so obvious, it actually startles me out of my meditation.
