An impressive variety of features -- can do more with this one app than any other first offering I've seen. It even automatically knew who I was...
Keep the good stuff coming...you might have won me over from Google (as long as you stay out of Microsoft's bed) -- Google has been put on notice -- we like "pretty" (and "cohesive"!)!

Finally a free social news email etc app!! Omg!!! I looove this app!!!! I can't expect more cuz it's free, but this already has so much! Two things: add y! Answers (WITH answering and log in) and meebo messaging.

Good, but too much in one app There are parts of this app that are very well done, but I don't understand Yahoo's insistence on bundling everything into one single app. I would much prefer to have separate apps for Yahoo News, Yahoo Messenger/OneConnect, Yahoo Mail & Calendar, etc. To combine them all in one makes the app a bit hard to navigate.Also, some of the better features of Yahoo OneConnect seem to be removed. Although I can aggregate almost any social network using this app, it's not as easy as Yahoo OneConnect.I have a feeling most people won't use this app simply because it includes way too much instead of just the Yahoo services they need or want.

Woth downloading but needs some improovesnents The app is downloading, but needs some improovesnents. I did LOVE the user interface though LOVED IT!!!
Things that need fixing:
1: loading times- WAY TOO MUCH LOADING
2: Scrolling- whenever I try to scroll through a page it's foes nuts!
3: Caching: it needs to save certain data and immages so that it doesn't load again every time I go to a different menu
4: MobileMe IM support
5: digg/twitter submissions

Everything is good on this app except for YM! This app is a great way to look at my yahoo contacts list, and to access many of the items I have already added to my MyYahoo.com homepage (news stories, stock quotes, sports scores, TV and Movie schedules, etc.) This app can also be connected to Facebook, MySpace, Twitter and other social networking websites, and of course be connected to not only Yahoo email, but also to Gmail, Hotmail, and AOL mail. Incredibly, once you connect this app to Gmail, you also have access to many other Google features too (Google Calendar, Docs, Images, etc.) I have yet to see any other app on itunes that can be connected to so many other things and can also be personally customized in so many ways. But there are two things that need improvement on this app. First, I do not like the fact that when I look at my Yahoo Calendar using this app, I only have the option to look at "today", "tomorrow", and "this week". It would be much better if I also had the option to choose "this month" in the calendar on this app, since I typically use the Yahoo Calendar to keep track of only 5 to 20 events a month. The second and biggest problem with this app is when using Yahoo messenger. I can chat much more quickly, clearly and with far more features on Yahoo Messenger using other 3rd party messenger apps on the iphone then I can with Yahoo's own YM! Interface on this app. With YM! on ths app, there is no auto caps, no auto spell correction, no emoticons, no way to send photos, and when I send a message, it takes 3 or 4 seconds for the message to show up on my iphone screen... that is way too slow. If Yahoo can fix these few deficiencies in their next update, this app will be easily worthy of a future 5 star rating from me.

Nice App.....read complainers! This app allowed me to delete several apps taking up space. Room for improvement. It's new and I appreciate it. TOO ALL THE COMPLAINERS: it amazed me when I see some jerk not picking a free quality app. I'm sure this takes a lot of work. Do your projects get shot down at work? Would you think that was constructive or are suggestions the way to go. When you spent tens of thousands for a car and there is a minor problem do you run to the dealership with your chest out bitchin about how crappy their car is? This app is free. Approate it or move on. You know who you are!!!

Friggin great Stable, great UI, easy to use and quick to learn BUT I would love to be able to mail news articles.
Greatest feature is aggregating social networking. That means it's much easier to update your status all from one app. Just please clean up the menus a little. It's hard to read when some of the text boxes aren't consistent with the rest of the phone. Good job though Yahoo

Better for news than New York Times and better for search than Google, and it has Video! This is a great app. I'm not sure the Pulse stuff is really useful for people that only use one social networking site, but I like the idea. Love the fact that the video content isn't just a bunch of random cats playing with string videos.

Looks promising, but doesnt work the way it should. This app looks good, but is more frustrating than actually useful. I added my networks on the social network but don't appear anywhere. I customized My Interests but nothing appeared to be added. The Connect page always displays yahoo mail and messenger but I dont want it there and there's no way to remove it.

Is this a beta? This app is almost useless. 01 Apr 09: Just tried out Yahoo! Messenger with a friend and it is abominable. No autocaps, no spell check, there's a wait screen when you said a message and it doesn't autoupdate when a friend replies. Simply unacceptable. I haven't run into another mobile IM app this bad. You'd be better off sending an email or SMS. That brings the review down to 1 star. The positives of the news feature can't save this app.Those 5 star reviews are out and out lies and the reviewers should be ashamed of themselves.=31 Mar 09: This app didn't make it on my phone past lunch though the news feature is probably the best aspect of this app. I deleted this app after I decided to check my mail, and thinking they'd gone through the trouble to make this beautiful iPhone app, they might've geared the email towards the device I instead found the same feature set and appearance I discovered when I checked my Yahoo! Mail on my Treo 300 some five years ago. The same feature set that kept me from ever using mobile internet to access my Yahoo! Mail except in dire circumstances. I mean GMail's mobile email not only looks better but is more functional. I don't really use Yahoo! Messenger so I couldn't evaluate that but I'll figure it's no worse than Nimbuzz and a little less useful than AIM. Also, I clicked on an item in the "Featured" section and it tells me it's going to open in Safari?On a good note, it's a very good news app (vs. AP Mobile and USA Today). That section is just pretty and functional (and doesn't open Safari if you click on a story). If they broke that off and made it a separate app, it would with some tweaks easily be four stars. The news section is the only reason this app gets 2 and not 1 star.=31 Mar 09: I'm going to try it. I'll give a real review. Not these obvious fake, phony five star reviews on here already.

YM please! i admit, google should come out with the iGoogle already with everything on it...JUST LIKE THIS ONE, but the downside is i dont really care much about the whole features, can they just come up with the Yahoo Messenger by itself? i mean AIM/AOL, has it.. why not yahoo??

Needs work on messenger and calender Great RSS features, but Y! Messenger needs to push new IM notification through to app icon, needs to use iPhone spell correcting, and Calender needs a monthly view option to become a player!
