Remote Numpad is based on the VNC Protocol (also be known as RFB Protocol). If you are using Mac OS X 10.4 or above, you can use the built-in VNC server -- Screen Share. Otherwise, you can use common VNC servers as well, just as RealVNC, TightVNC...etc.
