You are a fool if you don't download this game! Amazing! As the title suggests, you would be a complete fool not to download this game - for a $5 price, let alone for FREE. If you are familiar with other incarnations of Tower Defense, this is BY FAR the best for the iPhone and great by any standards. If you don't know what Tower Defense is, just download this amazing game and find out. The towers are incredibly creative, and the Earthshake tower is a particular favorite (you shake the iPhone to get rid of the demons, brilliant). The game and the challenge get more compelling the more time you spend with it. I can't imagine a better way to spend snippets of time than doing this. As to the GPS point, I have to agree I couldn't make sense of why it was needed, but it certainly doesn't take away from what is a SOLID 5 star rating.

Let's clear some things up. First of all I need to address some of the monumentally stupid comments that are directly below this one. No, this app isn't spyware. Spyware isn't even possible on the appstore platform period - apple would be responsible if it were. It's a bug that the app occasionally repeats asking for your location, it's for a website high-score tie-in feature and it is well documented - someone just doesn't know how to read. Also about the battery life, yes any game that uses as much CPU resources as this one will drain battery life. Fieldrunners drains about the same rate as far as I can tell... But your comment about the "drive" spinning is utterly retarded - iPhones nor iPod touches don't have moving parts, they use flash memory. Honestly, I'm not sure the review system on here works all that well, because people don't know what they are talking about half the time, and there are people stupid enough to believe them.
Anyway the game needs an update, more maps would be great, perhaps additional enemies and some UI tweaks but this game is excellent, I prefer the formula here to fieldrunners or anything else in the TD arena on iPhone much more, and it's FREE. I'll be watching this dev with great interest.

PLEASE READ ENTIRE REVIEW This game is amazing, it has decent graphics, is a wonderful TD, great variety in wepons and opponents and is FREE, whiners need to just STFU and to away. The allow location pop up is a bit annoying but tolerable, and the ads really don't bother me...
Some constructive criticism however is this:
• levels get a bit too difficult too fast. I get to about level 25 and them BAM every time within 5 levels maximum it's game over because the monsters took steroids and became immune to everything. So spread out the resistances and any major health increases, try not to stack them too heavily, mabey even streach it out to make more levels.
•The interest rate upgrade dosent seem to work for me at all, it just stays at 10% no matter how many halos I use upgrading it
• possibly make a definate save option instead of just a continue once you exit, that way we can try different combos of towers when something dosent work right or we accidentally sell a tower we didn't want to sell, by referring to last save, or mabey have a save after every ten levels or after each boss.
• possibly add a few more maps to the difficulties, have like a choice of three to five maps per difficulty level since each difficulty is a different type of map anyway.
• last thing, the heaven and hell thing is a bit over the top, the monsters are great bit mabey consider altering the theme to something else in lieu of possibly offending some Christians and non-Christians due to theme issues. Consider something like monsters raiding a village or castle, that way you can keep the monsters, rename the last boss ( the devil ) to something else and make a few other alterations ( such as halos and the heaven graphic and the wings graphic )
Those five alterations would make this game great ( and you could possibly make some money off of it at like .99 or 1.99 )

Get This Game! If you like tower defense games get this. I got it for free and have never been into TD games but I dowloaded this game and played it till my battery went dead. I was amazed at how fun it is. There are 3 levels of difficulty so it keeps it interesting. Graphics are decent, not as good as Fieldrunners, but better than others on here. Controls are easy enough and user friendly. Get it while it's free cause it's definetly not gonna stay free. This game is worth paying for.

5 Stars easily What a great game!Helpful Tips: --I thought interest rates were bugged too, but it's just the display. On Easy, it says " *10% " even if you're up to 20%, but do the math...it calculates it at the correct rate.--Interest, interest, interest. Leave the money in the bank. Let it multiply, then live off the interest. VERY important.--Upgraded towers are better than multiple towers.--Ice Towers are a must. Let your (limited) powerful upgraded towers hit the target multiple times. (plus, a lvl. 3 ice hits them for 100 per anyway)--Storm Towers are a must. A lvl. 3 Storm tower takes off 25%. Put them in the front. (25% off of 4000 HP is 1000 damage. 25% off the same enemy further down the path? ...maybe 200 damage). 3-4 lvl. 3 Storm towers in front with multiple ice towers around the path...don't need much more.--Level 1 towers get pointless quickly (except ice towers). Plan ahead, save enough money for a level 2 tower, put it in a spot where it can hit the path at lvl. 2, and place it/upgrade it then.--Position towers so that they can (if possible) hit the path two or even three times (only in Easy). Start with a tower or two at the gate of hell so that they can rotate around and hit the path behind them when necessary.--In later levels, position towers correctly so you can keep them from hitting *TOO* far up the path...having 8 towers hit the same enemy 10 spaces up the path, while letting 6 more enemies go untouched wastes ammunition. Position each tower so that it will hit (and at times, ONLY hit) certain squares so you can dictate which enemies get damaged.--For a fully upgraded storm tower, save up 750 bucks. Fully upgraded Quake tower? 2500...some of you think that kind of money is crazy, but it's not. Keep your money collecting interest.--First research interest, and either second or third another interest. If you want to research a tower second, make it ice. Lastly, storm. Then whatever.--FYI, volume is there. Unmute your phone, or go into the app options and turn volume on. ...you can also turn on the enemy's hitpoint bar. (green/blue/yellow/red).____________Note to developer:Great game, thanks for making it free. More levels/maps would be great, as well as an endurance run...unlimited spawn increasingly getting harder.The "sell" button is in an unfortunate spot...where the "play" button is. I've only done it once and learned my lesson. But a dummy warning would be nice. "Are you sure you want to sell?"Click "Yes" if this helped you!

Good Tower Defense Implementation I have both this and fieldrunner and like them both. Field Runner has better graphics and maybe a little more polished; TapDefense is a little harder and require more strategy. Hopefully they will release new enemy, tower and maps in the future. Besides, it is free, surely a big plus compared with FieldRunner.

Lots of FUN, highly recommended Well thought through fun that is going to provide me with hours of playtime. Seriously -- this is one of the best iPhone games i've played and i can't believe it's free! The developers emailed on another forum and mentioned they are REMOVING the location prompt in an update very shortly!

Best iPhone game ever This game is so addicting... I love it! As far as people complaining about not enough money & lvls being to hard... I'll give you 3 hints:1. Always use halos to upgrade interest rate (except for ice tower)2. Don't upgrade any towers until lvl 253. Only use arrow, bomb & ice towers until lvl 42, the use storm towers as wellI've beat easy & medium with scores of 20,000+ with over 100,000 in gold leftover, good luck
