best baseball scoring app Once again Faster Than Monkeys outdoes itself. Better look and feel in the latest update along with other great enhancements. I have both iScore and K-ForCE baseball scoring apps and my preference is still iScore. With iScore, there is no external program needed to keep season stats. Less expensive than K-ForCE too.

Buggy After reading the rave reviews, plunked down my five bucks for what I hoped would be the 'perfect' baseball scorekeeper. Unfortunately, while this app has potential, it is not ready for prime time yet. Spent a couple of hours entering the data for two teams and got to the 5th inning (of an already completed real game) when the app crashed. For whatever reason, some of the players had lost their positions, so when I went to sub a pitcher, he wasn't available. Could find no way to fix the issue. Fortunately this was just a trial run, but for now I'll stick to pencil and paper. Other issues: Statistics page was incorrect. Showed score by innings of 1-3-1 (for first 3) when the actual was 2-2-1. Scorebook cannot handle a large roster (should only show actual lineup and subs rather than trying to show entire team roster). No way to account for called strikes and swinging strikes (it does let you indicate whether the out was called or swinging).

Fantastic software This is very high quality software development - at the end of a game it can email a true scorecard in PDF - it can track not only full pitch count but pitch placement, and the interface to me was very intuitive to use. I just scored an entire MLB game to practice before a live game. It takes a bit to score a complex play, but really, baseball scoring is fairly complex and this is well thought out. I am very impressed and look forward to new releases (gamecast idea they have looks real interesting). The developers also have a forum for feedback and enhancements. Very professional, A++, easily worth more than they charge.

Please Add Softball I bought this app not even thinking of whether or not it would be compatable for softball and of course, it's not. I didn't fool with it much but it appears to be easy to use. PLEASE either update it to include 11 people in the lineup and all the other bells and whistles of softball or make a whole new softball app with the same, easy to understand controls.

iscore I just bought the app. I ran a simulated game. A bit tough at first until you figure out how the app works. Overall Very impressed. Just a slight learning curve at first to get through. Love the scorebook option and the stats. Real nice way to blend the two. The tough part about keeping book is having a person keep it the proper way. Now I can have the book kept properly and get real time stats out of the book. Before It was a problem figuring out what the bookeeper ment and now I have instant stats that I can email out!! I just hope my bookeeper can get past the intial learning curve. Otherwise I think i'd give it a 5 star rating.

Great app This an amazing app, but needs a few changes. I am the manager of a middle school team and when players change positions every inning, I can't do that because of the subs rule. I think the app should only block subbing someone to pitcher after they had already been taken out as pitcher. Otherwise, this app is great. The video tutorials made the app easy to learn.

The best app for scoring baseball on the iPhone This is, hands down, the best app for scoring baseball on the iPhone. It is not perfect (yet), but the developers' response is so fast and enthusiastic, and they are so eager to hear and implement the suggestions and request of their costumers (no matter how off-the-wall some are), that it is getting better and better each upgrade. The interface is elegant and intuitive, very responsive. A cool app for the iPhone, and the upgrades are coming every two weeks or so! Every developer should be so commited to their costumers as the people at Faster Than Monkeys. Nice work!

New Version Fixed Crashing The new version is fabulous. Customer Support replied to my emails between minutes to within an hour. I was crashing the previous version 1.06 because I did the sub incorrectly. However after watching the short tutorial (parts 1 & 2) I think I am straight now and I no longer feel like I threw 5 bucks away.
The new features are awsome. Thank you Faster Than Monkey developers for sticking with me until the issue was resolved. I am, again, a HUGE fan of iScore. I even emailed myself the scorecard and stat sheet. This App is amazing!
I can't wait to score a real game.

Almost Finished This is a re-review changing my score from the origional version at 2 stars to the newest version at 4 stars.Much improvement. The interface for entering the game data is still one of the best I've used. The implementation of pitching stats and a scoresheet is a great addition along with the ability to email stats or scoresheets after the game is over. I am still looking forward to the implementation of the gamecast feature in a future update. Scatter charts and pepper charts for pitchers are a nice addition as well.The only thing I am finding a bit clunky at this time is doing substitutions. Moving players from one position to another during the game is handled using only uniform numbers instead of player names and I found I was having to refer to another source to get the numbers to match up with the names. Minor, but it would be nice to not have to go to a second source as it takes time, and I score while I coach and I sometimes get rushed and make mistakes.The only thing that is keeping me from switching from my old, non Iphone software at this time is the absence of persistant stats. My old software keeps all the scatter charts and stats from all the games so when a batter comes to the plate I have the full seasons scatter charts and stats available to me with the press of a button. Currently Iscore only makes the current game stats and charts available for players during scoring.The last thing that I would like to mention, and I think this may be the most important is the resposiveness and willingness to work with the users that the developers of IScore Baseball maintain. They have maintained a constant dialog since the inital release with their userbase through the forums on their website and most new features for their 2 updates so far have been features that were suggested by their users. I think that the future looks very bright for this piece of software if they maintain that kind of customer service.All in all, I still cant get rid of my older software but as the feature list grows on IScore Baseball, I find myself integrating it into my coaching routine more and more.

getting better every update Used iscore this weekend and loved it. I'm still learning how it works but seems to be user friendly. I was able to exit the game to answer calls or just to take a break and it would always pick back up where it had left off at. Got home from a weekend of ball to download stats and there was a new update that made it that much better. I have looked for software to score ball games like this before and they were all $80 to $100 so this is a great app for just $4.99.

Perfect! The latest release added everything I have been asking for (biggest things being scorecard and cumulative stats), even for games that were entered prior to the update! Great customer service, great updates, great company, great application! Now... when is a Basketball version going to be available? :)

It works Just used this verison to score a mock MLB game and it worked great. Easy to use. Even answered a phone call, went back into the game right where it left off. Can't wait for the upgrade, will definitely use ot for my travel team. Hurry Apple approve the new update. This app will take place of the paper scorebook.
