Great app Great app, but I would like to be able to delete a catagory once I don't need it. It would also be helpful to be able to change the cycling. Very useful for my budget.

Good. Almost great It needs to be able to give the option for remaining balance in bold. Not how much has been spent. Bcuz it's really small on available balance. Other than that its great just needs an update. I gave it 3 stars bcuz it's really annoying not giving available balance.

Pretty good but... Don't like how it handles the "available" funds in a category when you transfer money to it from another category. It shows that category as having a larger budgeted amount than what you originally intended, just because you temporarily added to it.
Really hate that you can't change the start date. That's a major issue for me.
Don't like the use of one color with just different shades for the categories report. Too hard to see the differences between them. Why bother having a visual if it's ineffective?
Also, mine only shows 2 named categories on the pie chart itself and I have about 12 -- even when I'm using Wi-Fi!! What's up with that?
Overall, it's a decent app. It's helping to keep me aware of my spending. Just a bit of polishing though and fixing that start date issue would make it a 5-star.

Excellent lightweight app to keep you on track with a budget! This app is VERY good at what it does - but if you're not sure what that is, and you're looking for something else, you might be disappointed, so read on...Here's what Ace Budget DOESN'T do: Ace Budget isn't a full-fledged budgeting/financial planning app, like Quicken or one of the envelope-method apps. Nor does it even really substitute for one of those fuller-featured, desktop budgeting apps. Those are better installed on your home desktop anyway, where you have access to all your paper bank account and credit card records, plus everything else (mortgage data, etc...). I think the developers of Ace Budget must have known that most people wouldn't want to even TRY to keep their main budgeting software on their iPhone, not only for security reasons, but also because of the limitations of entering data on the iPhone. So they did something I consider very smart: they gave people a way to enhance existing budgets by making them more mobile, and didn't try to make Ace Budget a "kitchen-sink" app that does anything anyone could possibly imagine. And as a result, they've delivered a VERY useful, responsive, lightweight app which excels at the things it DOES do.What Ace Budget DOES do - in my opinion - is perfectly complement an existing budget plan. With the economy in the toilet right now, many people are feeling the need to make a budget and stick to it, with an urgency that they didn't feel even just a few months ago. And if you're a new (or even a veteran) budgeter, then you probably already know that often the biggest budget-killer, the thing which takes you over your budget and gives you that sense of futility about being able to make it work, is not having a sense on a day-to-day basis, while you're away from your home computer, of what you "have left" in various budget categories. And so most people guess, or they hope, or they wait until the next time they're at home and remember to check how much is left in the "groceries" category...only to discover they're already way over for the month or the pay period.Enter Ace Budget. If you're one of the people who's always stuck to a budget, or are just starting out trying to keep to one, Ace is like your permanent mobile reality-check. If you've sat down at home with a spreadsheet and your expense list and pay stubs and carefully ground out a budget that you think you can live with, then the next step is staying within it. In Ace Budget, you can create any number of budget categories ("budgets"), with separate names ("groceries," "household items," whatever). You can specify the rollover period for each (from daily to yearly), and even whether any "leftovers" at the end of the period "roll over" to the next month, like unused wireless minutes. Cool. Of course, you have to actually USE the thing for it to work, but that's not Ace Budget's fault, if you don't. If you're like me, you're about as likely to be caught without your iPhone as you are without your pants, so if you take the time to transfer the categories from that budget you carefully created at home into Ace Budget, then every time you spend money, you're only a few taps away from recording where, and what for....how detailed you get is up to you. And every time you're out and see something you'd LIKE to buy, you can check with Ace Budget to see if it's within your budget for the month. And, because the designers were smart enough not to try to include everything under the sun, Ace Budget is uncluttered, lightweight, nimble, and takes few taps to set up things quickly, and even fewer to begin using the system you've created, once you set it up. If you're looking for "Quicken Mobile," this isn't it. And if you want a corporate expense-tracker, this isn't really it, either (though I suppose it could be configured that way, given the CSV-output capability). Ace Budget's real strength is in aiding personal budgetary discipline. And it does its limited set of tasks very well indeed.

keeping me on track i use this every day. for all my purchases. its so easy to add items, i add them while i'm still checking-out at the stores. its that fast. its basic enough to just assist in keeping track when you don't have access to quicken, but its not a replacement for quicken. reports are just pretty good. gives you a good summary but the color in the pie charts are not distinguishable. but its ok, i don't use the report features.

Great App!!! This application has all the features I need to maintain a budget and it's so easy to use. I have used it for the last 3 months and have not had a single problem. The problem with app reviews is that often you can't tell who a real customer and who is a competitor writing bad reviews. Get the free Lite version and judge for yourself. In my opinion, all apps should have lite versions so that people can try before they buy.

Great Budget App Just downloaded the upgrade and now it earns 5* IMO. I set up a yearly budget and needed to be able to total my expenses for each category each month. The developer incorporated my suggestion and added 'spending by category'. If I could award Ace Budget 10 stars I would. Thanks! This app is the best and a must!

Needs Development Can't xfer my data from lite version!!! If there is a way to export everything at once, I can't find it. Negative numbers are easy to miss as negative is "Available: ($5)" vs actually having money avail is "Available: $5". Can't change start dates or cycle frequencies for budget categories. For some basic changes I have to delete and re-add because there is no editing. I am looking for better software even though I have already upgraded to the full version. Promising in the beginning but really too flawed to use seriously.

Good app I loved the lite version up until I found out after I had spent all that time entering the info that I would be forced to purchase the paid version.
This would have been ok because it is worth the 99 cents, however it doesn't import the info from the lite version. This does not make any sense because now I have two programs and I have to re-enter all of my info.
One real problem with the paid version is when you set the start date you can't change it. This must be fixed.

Looks useful I think I'll really like this. I agree with others, on the far left column the amount left to spend would be most useful. The amount spent could be the small print. This will help me keep track of my envelope categories and amounts without pulling my cash out to count regularly.

Decent but ... A very nice app, but I'd like to be able to switch the funds spent column (on the far right) for the funds available. Right now available funds are in a tiny paranthetical note beneath the category name. It would be MUCH more helpful if the main column on the right could show me how much is left in the budget category.

Good app, needs improvement I find this app very useful but what I don' t understand is when I add a category and the budget for it the program adds to the existing budget instead of subtracting from it. When I enter my income it looks like I have more than I actually have. Can you fix this?

disappointed Needs "budgeted," "spent," and "available" totals for each budget cycle separately. A single sum that combines monthly, yearly, and re-curring expenses over all budget categories is worse than useless for me. It's confusing. I'll have to find another unless you can update.

Digging this app I'm really liking this app. It's great for simple tracking. Some features I'd like to see are:-Exporting needs to be done for each budget category; you can't export everything at once!-A back-up option would be cool-You can't edit a budget's cycle or the start date. For example, if you set it up as a monthly budget, you can't change it to weekly. You also can't change it from the 1st to the 5th if you want.

Great little app!! I tried several other iPhone budget apps, but this was the hands-down winner for me. It's simple, clear, and easy to use and update. I get paid biweekly too, but I didn't have any problem setting up a budget to handle that. It is a little light on the documentation, though, so it took some time and experimentation to figure out all of the features. Very Usefull I agree with another reviewer, that this app is excellent in what it does. I hate to see it only get a 2-1/2 star rating by people thinking they are getting a full budget app. I don't need a complete budget on my iTouch, I have one on my desktop, but found that everyday items can wreck havoc on any budget & this app works quite nicely. I budget a set amount each month for apps & now I know just how much I'm spending. This app keeps me on track with all those daily expenditures we all encounter.
