This is an implementation of the two-handed Austrian card game Schnapsen where you can test your skills against a computer opponent. You can win tricks, play marriages for 20 or 40 points, close the hand, view taken tricks, and exchange your trump jack for the shown trump card to help you win hands to score game points. Reduce your game score to 0 to win the game and give the computer opponent a Bummerl before the computer opponent can give one to you!
Features:
- Animated shuffle and deal.
- 3 skill levels (Beginner, Intermediate, Expert) that dictate the level of play for the computer opponent.
- Resume an interrupted game.
- Play marriages (king and queen of the same suit) for 20 points.
- Play trump marriages for 40 points.
- Exchange your trump jack for the shown trump card.
- View the computer opponent’s last trick.
- View all of your own tricks.
- Automatic tally of your hand score (tricks + marriages).
- Ability to close the hand.
- Game scoring penalties enforced if a player closes the hand but fails to reach 66.
- Various statistics accumulated and displayed for both the player (You) and computer opponent (Me). Statistics are updated only after a game is completed.
- Various settings provided to tailor the play of the game to match your preferences.
