OSCemote - Joshua Minor

OSCemote sends Open Sound Control (OSC) messages to another host on your WiFi network. You can use it to remotely control a variety of digital music software like Max/MSP, PureData, SuperCollider, etc.

Once configured with the hostname or IP address and port of the application listening for OSC messages, each button, slider and toggle sends an OSC message to that host.
OSCemote can also send the iPhone's accelerometer xyz data via OSC.
The multi-touch panel within OSCemote sends up to 5 separate touches via the TUIO protocol (based on OSC). This is the same protocol used by reacTIVision.

Great tool Still room for improvement (could we label our buttons?) but this is great fun, and both OSCemote and OSCulator are growing. Good also for general hacking of wireless remotes for any Mac app (assign any keystroke to any pad in an OSCulator patch) and particularly good for midi and other music controls.

excellent this is a great tool for getting accelerometer data to max, processing, perl or whatever... and a simple way of creating a custom interface to those patches, sketches and scripts. this app opens a huge world of possibilities and is DEFINITELY worth the price. thanks!

Worth every penny! I came across this app online. Downloaded and with in 3 minutes had it working. 5 minutes later I had it controlling Flash. I especially love the auto setup when connecting to my wifi network. I only wish that it was easier to redesign the UI and hide the app's UI

Get touchosc instead. This app is ok, but doesn't come close to the quality in Touchosc, which is only 1$. Not only do you have a better control layout, but you also get 2 way communication. There's also talk of an update which will allow you to design your own interface. I own both of these apps and Touchosc is definetly the better of the two.
