Near perfect This loads/runs much faster than the Public Radio app. If having trouble with it crashing on launch after upgrading delete it and reinstall. It fixed all problems.

Works great I use this at work. So far, it works great. I wish you could create a playlist and browse the listings while the podcast is streaming. Otherwise, a great free app!

Could be the best app ever created If you like NPR this is a wonderful app. You have NPR at your fingertips anytime you want it. Every program that NPR produces. The only problem - and others have already pointed this out - there is no play all feature. Each show is broken down into its respective parts so if you want to listen to the entire program you have to keep hitting play. For example Morining Edition may have seven stories - each story is sectioned off and you have to listen to each separately - there is no continuous play. This has got to be fixed. Other than that though this is a great app.

Good App But DO NOT BUY IF YOU WANT TO LISTEN TO WHAD YA KNOW? I bought this thinking I could listen to whad ya know with michael feldman, theres no link to the program anywhere in the app, and I can't seem to get it to download it either but it does seem to cover a wide range of programs so pick it up if you like alot of the other programs on NPR.

Accessibility Review I had two best men at my wedding. Their tandem toast revolved around my relationship to BPR. Addiction may be the word they used. So, as I was browsing the iPhone app store on my iPod Touch, I could not resist testing out NPR Mobile when I ran across it. NPR Mobile is an unofficial app, put together by a volunteer and released gratis. From the web site:NPR Mobile 1.0 is an easy-to-use application that will help you find your favorite NPR programs and segments. I’ve found that with it, I am able to expose myself to additional NPR programming that my local station doesn’t carry. Often times, when I wake up in the morning, I half-hear a story on Morning Edition, and want to come back to it later in the day. With NPR Mobile, I’ve been able to do this, and hear the full story on my time.It does exactly what it is supposed to do and it does it with a simple elegance. But how does it look from a low vision perspective?Since I was curious about the accessibility of the app, I look a look at their sotry, Some Technology Leaves The Blind Behind. How ironic.There are two main accessibility features I look for in an iPhone app. Others, like high contrast color schemes, are secondary. First, though, I look for swivel. Second, I look for multitouch zoom or an adjustable font. I had no luck with the NPR app. No swivel. No zoom. No adjustable font.The only saving grace for accessibility is that NPR is radio, so all their stories have an audio portion. The listen link sends the iPhone into QuickTime so you can easily listen to the stories that interest you.I look forward to seeing future iterations of NPR Mobile. It does what it is supposed to do ans does it well. In the future, I hope Pass Time adds some zoom and swivel for those of us with reading glasses.

Almost great! Agree, needs "play all" button; how else can this be used while driving? Also, maybe a favorites button on the first screen. Those 2 additions would make it 5 stars.

Almost perfect This app is great for the NPR addict on the go or for someone that doesn't have access to a good station. I often miss some of my favorite programs because of work so this is great for catching up. I only wish there was a play all function for program segments so that I can listen to a whole program hands free. With that update this would be a 5.

Love this App! I can't always hear NPR shows when they air, and this app allows me to hear the stories I want to hear (I like to avoid some of the "fluff" pieces, so I really appreciate it!). The last update seems to have fixed some of the frustrating problems - seems to work well now. Glad I stuck with it. For those of you who want entire NPR shows, check out Public Radio Tuner - I use that too.

Good, But Where Are Whole Programs? I really am happy to be able to have an app dedicate to NPR content. And it is handy to have the program segments broken down so you can listen only to the ones you want. However, what about those of us who simply would like to start a program and listen straight through to the end. As it is, if I want to listen to today's Sunday Edition, I have to start the first segment with the iPhone connected to the Bose SoundDock, and walk back to my seat. Then 2 minutes later, I have to get up, walk over to the Bose, select the next segment, and walk back. Why can't we have whole shows? If they are there within the app, I haven't found them yet. I realize I can download the Podcasts in iTunes and sync to the iPhone, but it would have been nice to have access to complete NPR content on the fly with this app without having to sync. Great app, but missing "play entire show" button. I was SO pleased to see this great little app when browsing the app store, but it's seriously missing a "play entire show" button. This app is only half of what it could be until it adds that functionality. Needs a "play all" function I like being able to listen to these without being tied to iTunes.
App could be improved with addition of a "play all" function. I'd love to be able to select a program and have all recordings for that program play in order with an option to skip to next. Needs work Not sure if this is an official NPR app but it lets you listen to stories from NPR shows like Morning Edition. It would be nice if it could automatically play the entire show without you having to click on each individual story. There is only a brief summary of each story, unlike the website which has the complete text.Unfortunately, it's a little buggy. Clicking on Listen doesn't always work. UI needs work Provides great content. BUT screen changes take way too long having to go back out the network for a new list for each screen change.
Isn't practical at all for hands off listening. Requires the user to be in contact at the end of each segment (15-30seconds!!)

Fan-freakin-tastic 5-stars because I don't believe anything is perfect. But this, I can see, will be one of my favorite applications. I love listening to NPR while driving to and from work and having the ability to listen to this at work, the gym, in an airport...oh my god! Do you understand? You can listen to ANY NPR program!!
