You do NOT need use any referential objects to estimate, but just aim the target with the built-in camera at two different places. This app will calculate how high and how far the target point is from you.
HOW TO USE: 1. Aim the target point and tap the "Shoot" button. 2. Approach the target but you don't have to reach it. 3. Aim again at a nearer place then this App will show the height and the distance. 4. If you like, you can lock the result for your reading.
HOW IT WORKS: When you aim the same point at two different places, the angles have a subtle difference, which can be measured by the accelerometer of your iPhone. Meanwhile, the GPS module detects the distance of the two places. Via the two digits, the app can calculate the distance and the height for you.
HOW TO GET BETTER ACCURACY: 1. Make your aiming as steady as possible. 2. Try your best to aim the exactly same point at the two times aiming. 3. Further from the target for the first aiming and closer for the second. 2010 Xiaolin Huang
