For .99... It works, no crashes yet, fairly simple, but quite rigged. I've had about 30 deals and the 'dealer' will win with crap hands 90% of the time no matter wut is on the table when I have a strong hand..worth the cost of a 'Hot n spicy' LOL oh..and u can't go all in after betting and you lose all ur $ even w a winning hand

Stable but still Needs work (122008) Revised 123008. The primary issue has now been resolved with the update. This is a very fun and solid game at this time, and it deserves a solid 4 outa 5 stars. There are still one or two querky things within the game, but they don't distract from a great experiece in teh game play. Once these other quirks are resolved this game will get a solid 5 stars from me. If though I gave only 4 stars this game is highly recommended and addictive

4.5 Stars I like to reserve 5 stars for the truly 'great' games that are on the iphone. That being said, this game comes very close. Firstly, it is a really good casino poker game at its core. From there, there are a bunch of really cool multiplayer type options to give it added depth. This includes things like online leaderboards, game specific chat rooms, community (which includes Pocket God apparently) specific chat rooms, and online customer support areas (which is a cool concept). The online stuff (called 'Feint', not sure why) is accessible from any point in the game, which is nice. Summing up some of the other reviews, yes, added instructions would definitely help (though I imagine most people know how to play the game), and added prompting for cashing out would be nice, though I found you can easily resume you game by simple hitting the 'Main Menu' button.In summary, I bought this game because it was in the top 10 in the card category, and it did not dissappoint. I look forward to some of the future updates.

1/4/2009 - based on version 1.0. Good first release and value for the price. Still has a few bugs to be fixed. Game quits randomly - goes to blank screen (but doesn't lose current bankroll). Sometimes pays when should be a push (dealer and player both have straight to the same high card). I live near several casinos each having different rules for the game. Be nice to be able to make minor rule adjustments. I.e., (trips = blind / trips > blind) (have to protect trips (bet play) vice no protection). Give value of hand (under cards) at each step (pair / straight / etc) so a possible winning hand doesn't get mucked if a small straight gets overlooked (I see this in the casinos).

Great Game Definitly worth .99. Great Interface and fun to play. Most of the bad reviews are from people who don't understand this is a table game and not regular hold em against other players.

Not what you expect I've tried a number of these programs on a number of different platforms, and this one is the odd-man out. The play is different than all the others, the UI is cumbersome and you have to read the instructions to understand what buttons to hit and play. It's also only 'heads-up' play, rather than a full table.

Thanks for the update Another update: The slew of 5-star reviews is awfully fishy. It's a fun game, but not wildly fun! I would say it's definitely worth 99 cents, though. The important thing to note is: Though this game is offered in real casinos, it is NOT the same game as the superior (in my opinion) game, "Texas Hold'em Bonus," which is also in real casinos. Make sure you know which game you want!The update fixed the bug where a push hand lost, so now I give it 4 stars. Still wish there is a "are you sure you want to cash out?" prompt.Original review: I played one hand where I lost when I should have pushed according to the rules. The dealer had: 8c 5d. I had: 5c As. The board was: 4h 6c 2s 3h 2d. So we both had a 6-high straight, no flush. I'm pretty sure I lost another hand in similar fashion, but didn't catch it before I moved on to the next hand. This is sloppy programming in an otherwise fine game. One other nitpick: if you accidentally tap "Cash Out" instead of "Check" it wipes out your hand, and is a little buggy for one hand ("Clear" and "Fold" overlap) and is annoying.

All ACES in my book!!!! I own most of the card games for the iPhone/Touch, and this one is one of the best. It has the perfect price of $0.99 (which I hope stays there), a great UI design, and a very unique concept that differs from any other Texas Hold'em game. I very highly recommend this one. I have played it for a little over 3 hours now, and it doesn't get old. I have also yet to find a bug in the game either. By all accounts, the execution is an A+. Great job by the developers on this game. Also, the online options make this game a notch above the best. TUDPATE on 4/25/09 - The 'Feint' stuff is really cool for this game. You can chat with people playing Ultimate Poker, as well as people playing Pocket God and other Feint enabled games. Really neat stuff.

GREAT BUY!!!! Great version of Casino Hold'em. Live Poker is great and all, but after a while, it's just too slow. This game is very fast paced and fun. I highly recommend it. Rules are implemented perfectly. Very intuitive user interface allow the game to played at a very good spped. The 'Statistics' tab keeps track of all of your vital gamer stats too so your tendencies and strategies can play out. It will also record your 'Best Hand', which is cool, but I'm still waiting on a royal flush. All in all, it is a solid poker game.

Good for hours of enjoyment. Use it to practice before your poker night.... I like this one. It took a couple tries to get the gameplay figured out, but it works very smoothly. Adding chip noise would be nice, but this one's already a winner. I hope to see more like this one!

Great game, bunch of chatters from Pocket God though! Worth 0.99...super addicting. The casino game of hold'em is so much better than some of the other multiplayer games, but this is just my opinion. I like the canvas, err felt, and the feel of the game too. Plays really fast as well. The best feature on the game though is the STATs tabby thingy. Tracks all of your tendencies and trends. Also gives you a feel for how good (or bad) historically you have been playing.Also, there are a bunch of chat rooms that are built into this game, which is a cool feature, but it seems most of the players are from the game Pocket God. I guess this game uses the same system. I'm not very technical, but it is cool none the less. :)

Love Ultimate Poker!!!! Yeah...I'll be ready when I'm in Vegas next week. LOL. :) Rules are perfectly implemented (from what I can remember). Gameplay is so much quicker than a lot of the other poker games, which makes playing a lot of hands in a small amount of time easy to do. I wish someone would go ahead and come up with a 'REAL' gambling game for the iPhone or Touch for real money. I play in online casinos, and it would be kewl to play on my phone. What do you think ANDREW?UPDATE: Thanks for adding the 'Stats' feature and the 'fient' stuff. I currently have over 20k hands played.

Ultimate Texas Hold'em...FTW! Great game. There are about 50 hold'em games now there is finally an Ultimate!! Buy it now, but good luck beating my $15+ million high score!!! Oh..and thanks for keeping the price at $0.99. Great value here. Oh, and I like the Online Chat stuff (feint I think it is called). There are a ton of chat rooms for different kinds of games so you have something to do in between hands.

Just got back from Reno AND: and I found out that this game is already on the iPhone. AWESOME. Plays really smooth and easily. Wish it came with a virtual cigarette too.. ;)The rules in this game play just like the game in Vegas. I was really shocked how accurate of a depiction that this was (minus all the people watching you play). Hold'em poker is such an addictive game, and if you can't play in person...play this one on your iphone.The new Feint stuff in version 2.0 ROCKS. Thanks for adding this. It bring much more depth to the game. There are a ton of chatters too with Pocket God also using the same chat platform thingy. :)

Finally, Casino Ultimate Hold'em!!! I play this game in Vegas all the time with my friends and have been searching the App Store the casino version of Hold'em Poker. Now, it is finally here, at a reasonable price and best of all, it is a very very good game, and very well written. The UI is very intuitive...practically idiot-proof. Instructions could be helpful, but i already knew how to play. Could not be happier. This is the favorite game on my Touch!! Thanks for the Stats update too!!!!UPDATE: The chat and Facebook/Twitter stuff is awesome!!! This game now gets 5 stars. Great job on 2.0!!!!!
