Great App This app has an alternative use: just punch in a friend's mom's name, and voilà! Ultimate "Your mom" joke. Just picture the look on your friends faxes when they see their mom's name pop up on the screen! Then just tell them, "Your moms calling me, I have to take this." Ultimate burn!

GREAT app!! my friends were tricked that into thinking i rigged my ipod touch into a working iPhone! (but of course in reality i didn't do it). my friends were HAD nonetheless!

Awesome This is an incredible app. This is the only free app of this type which makes it a great app to get. The features are easy to use, and is a great toy and trick since I have an iPod Touch. I reccommend getting this app if you don't wanna pay for others like this. This app could easily get in the Top 50 pretty soon!!

Works great! This app does what it says, and it works great. One BIG oversight though....I should be able to select a picture from my photo library instead of selecting from meaningless background pictures. Think how cool it would be if you could use a photo you imported via iPhoto or from the iPhone camera. For example, the phone "rings" and a picture of Barak Obama appears with his name. "Oh, excuse me, this is the transition team calling again about my nomination...".

Found a few bugs! I tried putting in the ringtone, background, and ID. Those all worked fine. But, when I would set my timer, or press the button, the screen would go grey and be unresponsive. ???

on the right track It's nice to see a free fake call app, but the wish-list of features is the same as the pay apps:
- Offer the ability to select a person from my contact list
- Use the ringtones that are on my phone, or assigned to a specific contact if applicable.. I heard that this may be an SDK limitation
- Make the in-call buttons appear to function (at least the keypad and mute)
- When End Call is pressed, just exit the app and return to the home screen
- It would be awesome if the preferences were housed in the iPhone settings, then you could always have the timer set for X seconds and simply clicking the Fake-a-call icon would initiate the countdown, allowing you to use it even when caught off guard.
I'm looking forward to an update and adding the fifth star to this review!

Good but could be better I like this app, it pretty much does what it says. Along with some of the suggestions that the others mentioned, I think it would be a little bit more realistic if the screen light would automatically turn off when I place the phone to my ear (like in a real call)....just a suggestion.

One Missed Call Rington Adding the "one missed call rington" would make this app so much more better!!! Also the black screen should be changed to the timer so it will ring even if the phone is locked or the displayed was turned off, the black screen is to noticable!!! Great app, hope you add those features it would make this app is so awsome!

Crashed a few times and cant cancel the timer Crashed once on me while selecting backgrounds and once after going to the black screen a few times. It would be nice to cancel the timer. Fake Caller is better and it's also free

Actual Review It's called common sense people, it's called Fake a Call so it's not for iPod touch!
The timer works when it wants to so just double tap the screen. At least it's free. The other product IS better.
This has a couple bugs and I would sort of recommend it.

Overall pretty good This app is not bad. I've read some of the other reviews and I agree that we should be able to use our contacts, ringtones and wallpaper. Another thing is I set the timer for 8 hours in advance and saw that you'd have to keep the app open the whole day for it to work. If you set the timer and then close the app and re-open it doesn't save your timer. Other then that it's an app that I'm sure I'll have fun with fooling friends and family.

Almost 5 stars I have an iPod touch and it's cool except I only got one call and after that the screen is black when I push the button. Plus on the iPod touch u can't hear the ringtone unless u have ur earphones in. Please fix. If there's not an update soon, I'm going to delete this app from my iPod
