Lie Detector Advanced, developed by digital signal processing experts at WIZAG LLC, is based on the same advanced voice analysis technology used by CIA and FBI and works very well when the person is afraid of the consequence of being caught lying. So, create more pressure on the person will give you better accuracy. That is THE purpose of this little fun app: create the pressure to make a person tell the truth.
**NOTE** A voice lie detector works by detecting the stress level and nervousness in the voice when a person tells a lie. So if you are testing this on yourself or someone else, and there is no consequence of being caught lying, the liar will not be under stress. Naturally the detector may miss some lies in this case.
So, unless you plan to cut your own finger off or give away all your money if you catch you lying to yourself, LOL, the results may not be accurate when you test it on yourself.
Again, any lie detector (including the complicated polygraph machine used by FBI that measures your heart beats and breathing) will work ONLY if the liar is stressed or nervous about telling the lie, and can't be 100% accurate.
No lie detector can be 100% accurate. That is why they are not admissible in court.

Fun and actually pretty accurate. This app works very well provided you follow the instructions and understad how to use it (it's really nowhere near as difficult to understand as most of the reviews make it seem).
Simply ask a few short-answer questions that are obvious truths to establish a baseline number (which will likely be quite different from person to person) and then begin to ask the questions you're curious about and gauge the level of truth based on how far the number moves from the baseline number.

Nebulous directions While the KISS method of direction writing is generally considered the best, maintaining a necessary amount of detail should not be overlooked. There is such a thing as too simple. The creators maintain that the program is simple to the point of insulting anyone not savvy enough to grasp the directions. However, too much time is wasted on the insult and building up the program’s validity and not enough time is spent on basic information necessary for operating the program. A user does not need to know about the program’s design, only how to use it. Not only is it tiring reading through the insult and self-indulgent ego boost, but in all of the blabber an important key point is neglected. From the directions, I understood that I simply needed to record the voice by pressing the record button and stopping when I was through. I also understood that I needed to create a baseline so to speak, by recording the voice twice to “get a range.” What I did not understand was whether a lie would come out a higher number or lower number than a truth. Nor did I understand what typical ranges would be, leaving me clueless as to when someone is lying or being truthful. What is more, the directions are explicit when it comes to someone purposely lying to check it out. If this information was there, I most humbly apologize. Maybe I simply missed it in all of the babble, but I don’t think so.

This is clever, if you understand how it works Ok this is cool for using on your kids, even if only to make them think it works. Bear in mind (like the developer says) it measures voice stress levels based on perceived consequences. Now if you're trying to catch yourself lying and have established a credible punishment for yourself and it's still not working, you either need to be more convincing with the punishment, or accept you're just a fantastic liar. Test it out on kid if you want to see the app in action.

Anger never solved anything I know this is just an application and you don't have that customer contact that most companies have to deal with, but your description is how you portray your company in this situation... how on Earth do you expect to sell something by insulting your possible customers? At this point, I don't care if this is a really great application or not, I just don't want to do business with your company Wizag LLC, ever.The application itself works about as well as can be expected (my expectations were very low). I don't know if you really expect people to believe that this free little app has the same technology that the FBI uses (true or not, people would really believe that?). To the people who have used this application for really serious situations, like "catching" your significant other in a lie (cheating), or blaming your neighbor for a theft and then trying to use this to catch them... please don't. It's basically a party trick, not something you should base important things on.Please remove the notation that says it works with the iPod touch, though.... the touch does NOT have a microphone (unless you buy the expensive in-ear headphones... there's a cheaper version but it hasn't been released yet) and so it renders this absolutely useless. IPOD TOUCH USERS: If you don't have a microphone, don't get this app. The app doesn't magically make your device able to detect and record sound. One last comment: If you're going to come on here and stroke your ego by making fun of other reviewers for being stupid and not understanding the program, perhaps you should learn grammar and punctuation above a 2nd grade level. There is a difference between "your" and "you're", you know, and it doesn't hurt to learn where to place your periods. Using numbers instead of words and other such short cuts ("I no what 2 get 4 u") doesn't make you look cool, it makes you look like a moron (although the irony of people who write like this complaining about other people who skim through instructions and maybe miss a point or two is just delicious).

This thing lied to me Ok so I woke up this mourning to find my baby Jesus decoration missing from my lawn.My neighbors "happen" to have gotten a new one assuming the coincidence was not in my favor I confronted my neighbor as they have a history of borrowing things.I used this application and it came up that their baby Jesus was a lawn ornamant Miracle.Now I need to go buy a new baby Jesus.

Easy to use but... I tested this several times with my own statements. Most of the time I was able to get a consistent set of numbers from the analysis- between 1.02 and 1.6.According to the instructions- after establishing a baseline for truth of a person (would be nice to save these somehow) a lie should show up as a lower number. I was able to have 2 lies show up as slightly lower numbers- but 3 lies showed up as 2.0 or higher! Ah well- it is free.

The BS Sniffer is Awesome! This application is perfect for sniffing out BS. I use it on my younger brother and my friends when I know they're making something up. Obviously it's not perfect but if you don't get the results you want you can just say they're lying and sometimes they'll give themselves up after the test haha.

Then proceed to give them the SAME, CURRENT INSTRUCTIONS.
But, since they have an IQ of 70 and are clinicly retarded, they will try it on themselves.
